Well it’s been an eventful 4 months. With what was meant to be a simple manual swap in a couple days, ended up in the gearbox coming out 8 times. Missing seals, not enough clearance here and there and then conversion parts failing and just not being right!
Then finding a driveline vibration which in the end was simple but it wasn’t my thinking to check the tail shaft was installed right.
Then the factory air suspension packed it in with 2 blown struts. Thankfully we had a set of coil over struts off a car we wrecked. So this has simplified things a lot.
The last on going issue is a fuel system problem… well the car has bypasses for the bypasses and when it plays up we can jerry rig it to get it started. The truth is we think it’s a bad efi relay but can’t test it till it happens again.
As the car sits it’s ready to be packed and final stickers put on the car.
We can’t thank everyone one that has donated to date. We are only a few hundred dollars away from our $4000 goal. It’s been great to get out in the car the last few days and show off our hard work and spread the word of Mystery Box Rally
