A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend to celebrate the beauty of art and music. Your support makes events like this so special, and we couldn’t do it without our amazing community!

A special thank you to our judges, Madeleine Kelly, Simon Wright, for lending your expertise and passion to this year’s exhibition. Your thoughtful insights have made the awards even more meaningful, and we are so grateful for your contribution.

A big round of applause to all the performers who filled the Expo with unforgettable music—The Songbirds, Sing to Thrive, The Nickeys, Shahar Eberzon, But2Fly, Mullumbimby Public School Choir, and Elemental. Your talent and energy brought so much joy and inspiration to everyone who attended.

We’ve already been treated to amazing performances by The Nickeys, Shahar Eberzon, and Elemental today—thank you for filling the Expo with such beautiful music! 🌟

But the fun isn’t over yet! Coming up:
🕑 2 PM – But2Fly will light up the stage with their vibrant energy.
🕒 3 PM – The Mullumbimby Public School Choir will close the day with their heartwarming harmonies.

A huge round of applause to the winners of this year’s Ocean Shores Art Expo! 🥳Your exceptional talent and creativity have truly shone, and we’re so proud to celebrate your achievements.

To all the incredible artists who entered, thank you for sharing your vision and creativity with us. Each piece adds so much heart and depth to the Expo, and we’re honored to showcase your work.

Today is your last chance to see these amazing artworks up close! Don’t miss out—come and immerse yourself in the beauty of this year’s collection. Let’s celebrate the final day of OSAE together! 🌟

Artworks are available for purchase during the Expo, but cannot be collected until after 4 PM today (Sunday, November 24th, 2024).
All works will also remain available online for an additional 4 weeks after the exhibition, offering more opportunities to purchase directly from the artists.

We’ve got an incredible line-up of live performances happening at the Ocean Shores Art Expo this weekend, with one exciting addition: Weaving Stories will be performing today at 5 PM! Please note that But2Fly won’t be performing today as planned, but will still take the stage tomorrow.

The Wait is Over – See You All Tomorrow!

The Ocean Shores Art Expo kicks off tomorrow, and we can’t wait to welcome you to a weekend filled with stunning art, incredible performances, and a vibrant community spirit!

Here’s what to look forward to:
🌟 Opening Night: Friday, November 22nd, 5.30 PM – 9:30 PM
Entry: All 2024 entry artists FREE. Guests $10

🎤 Live Performances: Saturday from Midday and Sunday from 11 AM

🎨 Art Exhibits: All weekend long!

Entry: Sat & Sun - Adults $3, Family $5, all school children FREE.

📍 Where: Ocean Shores Community Centre, 55 Rajah Rd

Meet Simon Wright – OSAE Judge 2024!

Simon Wright has held public engagement, exhibition, curatorial and executive management positions in private, public gallery and museum realms since 1993.

As Assistant Director (Learning + Public Engagement) at QAGOMA, he currently has Executive oversight of a broad range of community-facing and audience-centric portfolio responsibilities.
He has worked on 350+ exhibition projects, and has been actively involved in the national arts community beyond QAGOMA, serving in various governance capacities, such as The Commissioner’s Council for Australia at the 53rd Venice Biennale and on The Institute of Modern Art Board of Directors for almost 10 years.
In 2014 he became Founder Benefactor of the QAGOMA Foundation, and in 2018, participated in the Asialink Business Leaders program at University of Melbourne.

Since 2005 Simon has been regularly invited to judge art awards around the State, including: The Queensland Regional Art Awards, The 1770 Art Award, The Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Award (Gladstone Regional Art Gallery), THIESS Art Awards, Tattersall’s Art Prize, The Churchie National Emerging Artist Awards, The Blunt Edge Portrait Prize (Cairns), The Gold Coast Art + Design Awards, and The Chapman+Bailey Art Prize.

Meet Madeleine Kelly – OSAE Judge 2024!

We’re thrilled to have Madeleine Kelly on board as a judge for this year’s Ocean Shores Art Expo!

An acclaimed artist, Madeleine’s work bridges the cosmic and the material, exploring the fascinating connections between people, animals, and plants. Her paintings, often described as poetic and paradoxical, bring together science, myth, and magical realism, offering a rich, sensory experience.

With a career that spans national and international exhibitions—including the Queensland Art Gallery and the Art Gallery of New South Wales—and prestigious residencies across the globe, Madeleine brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to our panel.
