We’re looking for someone who can be there for the full day - 10am to 4pm - snapping all the colour, chaos, laughter and those little moments that make this day so special for our community.

💧 Adventure Bay Water Update 💧

TasWater has advised that works will commence from 10 March to install a new interim water treatment system at the Adventure Bay Fill Station, with the aim of restoring local water production and ending water carting as soon as possible.

Works are expected to run for up to three weeks, with some temporary noise during construction.

BICA(and others) will meet with TasWater next week and take the opportunity to meet with them and address the broader issues facing our community.

While this is a positive step, it forms only part of the broader long-term water security challenge facing Bruny Island. BICA, BIEN and others will continue working constructively to ensure sustainable, transparent and reliable solutions for our community.

However, let’s wait for the detail before we celebrate 🤞

A special announcement this morning 🙏

Childcare certainly isn’t getting any easier to access, especially in rural and regional areas.

It’s something that I hear from parents all the time.

And it’s something we must act on.

So today, I’m pleased to announce that we will be building and expanding six early childhood services.

The build will create more than 136 new places for Tasmanian families, in Huonville, St Marys, Bruny Island, Bothwell, Rosetta and right here in Westbury.

It’s an initiative that I’m really proud of, and I appreciate the feds coming onboard to partner on this as well.
