He has spread hope and joy to Queensland's sickest kids, for over three years.

Whether he’s visiting and playing games at the bedside or rallying around a community event, Will is a true hero for the next generation. 🏆

Another month of making special memories! Here's a look back at some of our September favourites:

🦸 Heroes assembled at Queensland Children's Hospital for our Superhero September Foundation Fun Day, filling the hospital with crafts, puppies, music and superhero-sized smiles.

🎶 International sensation Alex Warren dropped by, spending time with patients by playing games, cracking jokes and creating memories to last a lifetime.

🏃 Over 2,500 runners took on Bridge to Brisbane to support Queensland’s sickest kids, raising over $65,000!

🥐 Darvella Patisserie - Bulimba brought sweet treat o’clock to hospital, serving up delicious pastries and adorable plushie toys.

🐬 From petting dolphins and Paw Patrol meet and greets to endless smiles, our Sea World - Gold Coast, Australia Family Experience gave families a much needed break from hospital.

🐨 Crikey, what a day! Australia Zoo showed off some iconic Aussie animals.

👠 Five mums and their teen daughters were treated to a personalised styling experience by Dissh.

🏏 Young cricket fans were bowled over when Queensland Cricket and Women's Big Bash League players swung by.

"Childhood cancer is not rare," says Ayden's mum Bev, reflecting on . It's a diagnosis their family knows all too well.

More than 1,000 Australian children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer every year, and on average, three young lives are lost each week.

Like Ayden, most are diagnosed with little warning, thrown overnight into a world of hospitals, scans, needles and uncertainty.

Just after his seventh birthday, Ayden was diagnosed. In November 2023, he proudly rang the bell to mark the end of treatment — 128 days that brought him to remission, though more than two years of ongoing therapy still lay ahead.

Steroids brought tough physical and emotional side effects, infections meant repeat hospital stays, and anaesthetic procedures became routine. Through it all, Ayden showed incredible courage. 💚

Today he's thriving in Year 7 on an academic scholarship, playing sport, spending time with family, and dreaming of one day working in medicine to help other kids like him. ✨
