Friday's Legacy Animal Rescue Friday's Legacy Animal Rescue is a QLD based animal rescue group. We are a volunteer and foster based rescue.

Inspired to rescue by our founders own rescue dog - "Friday" our focus is to give animals that are on death row in remote Australian pounds a second chance at life. We are currently NOT a registered charity and therefore are unable to issue tax receipts, however we would gratefully receive any contributions towards our vet and training costs made to us in good faith to the bank account below. Our hunk of a man Dylan from (formely known as Patch in his past life) had his life changed yesterday, as he headed off with his new mum to begin his next chapter of adventures 😍

Dylan is absolutely impossible not to love, the "chilled dog" from the Bush strutted into care and amazed his foster carer instantly with his gentleness, beautiful personality and willingness to please, that he quickly became the household favourite and star of the show ❤️

The "not good with other dogs", "if only he wasn't a Shar Pei" will always be special to FLAR, we love a good underdog who manages to prove absolutely everyone wrong given just half a chance. Dylan showed every one he could be "the amazing with kids, good with cats, well mannered and gorgeous Shar Pei who loves other dogs and visitors" - and we are honoured to have been able to be his voice that was louder than everyone elses, to fight for and give Dylan the life he so genuinely deserves.

To Dylan's new humans, thank you for choosing to adopt from the Friday's Legacy Family 🥰 We know Dylan is going to be the most amazing and loyal family member and we wish you so many wonderful memories together ❤️

To Dylan's foster carer, thank you for helping us save Dylan's life ❤️ You have done amazing things for this beautiful man. Actually more than you know. Thank you for saying YES. I WILL FOSTER. You have shown and given him, a whole new life with such a brighter future ❤️

A special message to Dylan's former pound ranger, T.

When a dog is running away from his home, a bad life and everything he knows, sees council rangers uniforms and vehicles and actually RUNS TO YOU instead of away in fear, then smothers you with love and seeks YOU out over his "owners" , you know you've done something pretty special for his heart. We know you have a huge soft spot for this boy and we thank you for entrusting him with us and for allowing us to give him a chance at having a whole heap more than he was getting.
He's going to be more than ok now ❤️

🥁🥁🥁 POPSWEEP UPDATE!!! 🥁🥁🥁

There was NO correct answers from our Popsweep! And it's not entirely surprising because we can barely believe it ourselves.

Most guesses ranged from 4 to 7 puppies, which would be normal for a dog of Poppy's size....

But this is FLAR afterall!! 😂 And nothing is done by halves. Not even by our dogs 😂

POPPY HAD A WHOPPING LITTER OF ELEVEN PUPPIES!!!!

It was touch and go for a couple, but all have survived and all are well. Including Poppy 🥰

She is being an incredible mumma doing her absolute best for them all but we are helping Poppy along in a few areas to ensure each and every pup is growing and healthy ❤️

These babies will be available for adoption in November so until then, we hope you enjoy watching their journeys as they grow and learn.

We announced a little while ago that we had a 2nd mumma who was expecting babies.... If you guessed Asha, then you were right!

Asha does not have long to go before she gives birth. When we were alerted by kennels that she "looked like she has worms or may be pregnant" - we immediately went and collected her and took her to our vets. Asha is in (paid) kennels because we're still yet to find a carer for her 😞

Ultrasounds have confirmed that yes, she is in fact, expecting babies.

Everything we purchased for Poppy now has to be purchased again for dear Asha to ensure she has a safe and comfortable delivery.

Asha is with an emergency carer - we couldn't leave her in kennels knowing she is pregnant, but she needs a permanent Brisbane based foster carer ASAP!
