this morning a band of shedders ventured as far as Howrah, accepting a breakfast invitation from Howrah Men's Shed. The occasion was International Men's Day. It was good to see how another shed operates, what is prioritises, and of course, their kit. We come back with a few ideas we might look at. And we intend to return the invitation. Perhaps we can put together a breakfast feast involving our produce - kale, rainbow chard, weird parsnips, bok choi, and coriander

Yesterday our shed hosted the Bee Queens, a community group for women interested in bees and bee-keeping. They came to make the specialised frames that slot into a hive. I'm trying hard to avoid clichés such as there being a hive of activity but it was certainly industrious, with support provided by Wayne Quine and several other shedders.

An open day at the shed, together with the South Arm RSL and Community Club, and the Iron Pot Golf Club. Distinguished guests of course but a whole lot of other folk came to the shed and garden on a beautiful fine day
