Join the Nepean Conservation Group (NCG) for a stunning coastal moonah woodland ramble next Sunday 26th October.
This beautiful walk along sandy tracks, steps and stairs, takes you from St Paul’s to Sorrento Back Beach. We can guarantee a great “nature dose” to all participants. Learn about our local flora (the NCG indigenous plant brochure will be given to each person) and meet some of the local inhabitants – such as the cheeky fantails and the shy bluetongue lizards.
Meet at St Paul’s Road carpark, Mornington Peninsula National Park, 9.15 am for a 9.30 start.
Distance: 4 Kilometre loop involving sandy patches, undulating terrain, steps and stairs and uneven ground.
• What to bring: water (at least 1 litre), and your morning tea (eg fruit, nuts, muesli bar, sandwich, etc), hat, sunscreen, insect repellent.
• What to wear: a proper pair of walking shoes and good socks. Do not wear open toe shoes.
A compact lightweight jacket is suggested – for wind/rain. Please check the weather conditions before departing.
