YWAM Tasmania Also known as YWAM (pronounced "WHY-wham"), our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.

Our passion is to nurture and equip people both young and old to go to the Nations, to serve the poor and needy and to reach their full potential within God’s plan. Youth With A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. When YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was giving you

ng people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members (known as “YWAMers”) of almost every age and many of our short-term efforts have grown into long-term endeavors that have impacted lives and nations. YWAM has a decentralized structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel and care for those in need. We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 200 countries, with a staff of over 20,000.

What an amazing time of worship, prayer, evangelism, and serving alongside our Ywam Australia family.

God moved in so many ways throughout this week, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to love people, encourage local ministries, and intercede for our nation.

We've been shortlisted for the MyState Bank Community Choice Award and we need you!

One organisation will receive a $25,000 grant to support young Tasmanians, and that could be us. Voting is open now until Monday, 29 June.

Help us to continue to fund "Youth Matters," an after school program which provides a safe space for teens to connect, youth resources, nutritious food, mentoring, and holiday activities.

For two weeks this June, churches from across Hobart will unite in prayer, worship, evangelism, and bold public witness to see the light of Christ shine across our city.

From Vision Night to prayer walks, outreach gatherings, street evangelism and 72 hours of continuous prayer and worship, every event is designed to equip, unite, and mobilise the Church for the harvest.

Our first week of outreach was amazing! Our DTS students had the opportunity to serve in the kitchen for the YWAM Australia National Gathering and our staff had the opportunity to attend the sessions. It was a joyful week & such a blessing to make new connections with our YWAM Australia family. Thank you YWAM Townsville! 🙏🤍🏝️
