Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience and we have a lot of fun working together. If you've ever thought about joining the brigade Volunteer week is the perfect time to get involved.

A big thank you to all our volunteers! Your commitment to the brigade and community is appreciated.

This is real!
We have seen it many times and assisted Ambulance Victoria in treating patients with broken legs and a shattered pelvis as a result of having their feet up on the dash. These injuries are excruciating and make extraction from the vehicle for challenging for us, and traumatic for the patient.
Riding correctly seated is the safest option.

Coming in to winter the roads get wet and slippery. Please turn on your headlights on overcast and foggy days, take extra care and drive to the conditions to stay safe.

Thank you to all our incredible firefighters for every day spent training, every response, and every time you put your life on the line to protect others.

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.

Your courage, commitment and care don't go unnoticed.

Now that the Fire Danger Period has ended, we will see an increase in burning activity. Smoke will be visible and even drift through town.
We have been notified of a large burn to take place today in the MtEmu/Pittong area. Smoke will be visible from the Valley.
When burning please follow the safe burning guide, supervise and fully extinguish your burn. Please register your burns. Registering your burn can help when a concerned neighbour or community member calls 000.

Please also remember whist you are allowed to burn outside the FDP, you are still required to clear your burn site, check the weather is suitable (do not burn if wind is above 15km/h), have water on hand to control and extinguish your burn, and supervise your burn at all times.

Happy Easter!

We love getting involved and helping our community, particularly if it involves kids. This year we once again assisted the Royal Children's Hospital door know in Beaufort. As a group we collected just under $5000. As a brigade our awesome volunteers collected just over $1000. Thank you to all those who gave and all those who assist this very worthy cause each year.

Now daylight savings has finished, don't forget to clean and t was st your smoke alarms. If you have an old school battery one, now is also a great time to replace the battery. Stay safe if travelling and enjoy the school holidays :)

At Snake Valley Fire Brigade we are proud of our amazing group of women and all their accomplishments. As one of few brigade in the state with 50% or higher female membership, we have been selected to trial CFA's new pink women's range of turn our gear and women only fire truck. Unofficially, it also goes faster than the boys truck😉
Thank you to CFA for this opportunity and supporting our amazing women!
