Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠

A reminder that mental health matters, and that listening, connection and support can make a difference. Let’s create spaces where everyone feels safe to share, be heard and seek support when they need it. 💚

This year’s theme is “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change”, highlighting the importance of listening to people with lived experience and including their voices in decisions that affect them. 🗣️

We are so privileged to have partnered with Play Matters Australia to support their coordinators and facilitators across all of Australia to explore the wonders of Key Word Sign! 🤩

Yesterday Simone kicked this journey off with a 1 hour training session on the foundations of children’s key word sign. She was joined by so many dedicated coordinators and facilitators from the Brisbane region, with many others joining online too! 🤗

Play Matters Australia supports children and families to build relationships, skills and confidence through play! 🫶🏿🫶🏼🫶🏾 As Sunshine Sign and Sing began by running baby signing classes, this is something that we hold great importance to. ✨

We are excited for so many playgroup facilitators to begin exploring a new way to increase children’s communication skills right from birth! 💬
