Just a reminder only 4 days left to view the photos on display at the Singleton Framing Gallery before students pick them up.

Just a few lines to let you know that the photos taken in term 4 2023 by Wayne & term 2 of 2024 by Clare for the project ‘Who am I’ supported by Arts Upper Hunter are finally all printed and on display at Singleton Framing Gallery, 111 John St (opposite Shaddock RE) the display of 2 canvas’s & 3 framed collages were launched on Tuesday 30th Sept with 3 of the students present plus the Hunter River Times (edition 15th Oct as the 1st Oct was full). The photos will be on display until 30th Oct so please pop in and check them out before the students pick them up.
If you happen to be in the shop before 11th Oct please consider supporting the owner Jo who has a raffle going ($2 per ticket) proceeds to the Heart Foundation.

below are some of the photos taken by Wayne in 2023. All students really appreciated being able to use a professional camera & the ones with Wayne really enjoyed learning about and using the drone.

On Wednesday afternoon in the main street of Singleton a young man stopped me to say hello. He was one of the students in 2022 in the OTH program and commented how grateful he was for the program stating but for that he was sure he would be in jail by now & he offered to help with the program. I had to tell him that we had to close the program due to lack of support. He then went on to tell me he was near the end of a trade course and then was guaranteed a job on compleance. It is so good to hear how previous students are getting along and knowing that the On Track Hunter program helped a number of young people to get on the right track.

On Track Hunter donated 3 whiteboard tables (new) & a large whiteboard on wheels to Detour Youth Services 3 months ago. Thanks to Wendy Love for photos of the items in their new home. They have still to be used.

RuffTRACK's post

A few months ago we had a lovely lady reach out to us by the name of Ann. She is a director and chairperson for On Track Hunter. A youth organisation based in Singleton like minded just like us and unfortunately closed up there org this year.
They loved the work RuffTRACK does and wanted to pay it forward and donate the last of their proceeds to RuffTRACK.
Thank you On Track Hunter for thinking of us and donating $5000 to help keep our wheels turning for our program.
We are sorry and understand the frustration of finding it hard to get funding.
This donation will be used towards resources, rent, fuel, food for our young people.

On 9th January 2025 On Track Hunter Chairperson Ann donated the laptop to Detour Youth Services to be used in their programs for youth.

Mick our volunteer out at the farm for term 2 & 3 in 2024 with his certificate. Mick was a great help to the students with his knowledge of woodwork.

9th January finally caught up with the other 2 students and our Team Leader for term 3 who couldn't make the graduation night. The students all received their grey bags with art & exercise books, grey T-Shirt, apron & hand towel with the OTH logo on each. Also received their stainless steel water bottle, a pair of work socks and their white wooden tool boxes they put together from the kits that the Singleton Men's Shed made for them.

So proud of this young 17 year old that was a OTH participant in 2022. He has set himself a budget to build his own cabin and works on it while holding down a full time job. Well done. Look forward to seeing it when complete.
