On Sunday, ARO delivered meat packs to 22 newly arrived Palestinian families and distributed the gift bags to 38 children. Our hope was to help these families and children, many of whom have experienced significant hardship and trauma, enjoy a little of the joy and warmth of Eid.
A special thank you to the ISRA Academy volunteers who lovingly prepared gift bags for 38 children, helping bring smiles and a sense of celebration during Eid.
The distribution was carried out with the support of ARO volunteers, Youth Nexus volunteers, and a caring parent and children from Amity College, reflecting the strength of the community coming together for a good cause.
We are also grateful to the generous supporters whose contributions made this program possible. Your kindness helped bring comfort, happiness, and a sense of belonging to families rebuilding their lives in Australia.
Finally, we thank SSI - Settlement Services International and the Gaza Australian Program-GAP for their assistance in identifying and connecting us with the families who benefited from this initiative.

The ARO Melbourne Volunteer Ladies Team, alongside students from Sirius College , shared a beautiful afternoon with the residents at the Kilmore Grove Care Community in Kilmore.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, our volunteers and students thoughtfully presented gifts to the elderly residents. A true highlight of the day was a lovely piano performance by Sirius College student, Ezgi, which brought immense joy to everyone in the room. The residents were deeply touched by the visit, with some even moved to tears by the warmth and connection.

Our volunteers left feeling incredibly grateful for the experience. They were profoundly moved by the wisdom, honesty, and life experiences shared by the residents, catching a beautiful glimpse of the courage, resilience, and compassion they hold.🌹
