RSL NSW has welcomed the Australian Government’s latest investment in veteran wellbeing, with six RSL NSW sub-Branches and a new music therapy partnership securing almost $400,000 in Commonwealth funding to strengthen the health, wellbeing and social connection of veterans and their families across New South Wales.
The funding, announced under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs’ Veteran Wellbeing Grants Program this week, will support a diverse range of locally-led initiatives including music therapy, art workshops, veteran retreats, wellbeing excursions, accessibility improvements, and practical support for older veterans living independently.
Across New South Wales, 16 veteran wellbeing projects shared more than $620,000 in Commonwealth funding, with RSL NSW congratulating every successful organisation for helping strengthen support available to veterans and their families.
