Shoalhaven Bushwalkers

Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Shoalhaven Bushwalkers is a bushwalking club based in Nowra, New South Wales. We do not exist to provide information to the public.

We have a selection of walks for members each Wednesday and weekend activities as well. Shoalhaven Bushwalkers club policy precludes us from specifying exact locations in our posts. Many of our walks are in the more remote areas of the Shoalhaven (and beyond) where navigation can be difficult, phone coverage can be non-existent, and help can be far away and a long time coming. We have a duty of ca

re to protect members of the public who view photos of our walks on Facebook whose fitness, health (including mental health), abilities and experience we do not know. We also want to protect the locations we walk from over-use and abuse at the hands of less well-intentioned people than ourselves. Our page exists primarily for our members, but also to promote both our club, and the benefits of walking with a club. Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Inc is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW. We adhere to their Bushwalkers Code of Ethics (http://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/bushwalkers-code/) and their Natural Areas Policy (http://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/bushwalking/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/BNSW-Policy-on-Natural-Areas-1998.pdf)

Today's Andante (easy) 9Km walk was Mount Bushwalker in the Morton National Park. The views were awesome and everyone had a good time. Tony led the walk and today's photographs were taken by Tony (two Tony's today), Marysia and Mary. Marysia is our resident botanist and you will find some photos of the plants and flowers we saw today later on in this photo sequence.

Saturday was a great day for walking. Andy and Kristina joined a group of Ramblers to walk the beautiful track to Karloo Pools and Uloola Falls. Some of the track was a bit rugged and the view from the top was pretty good! Some of the photos are from a reccy we did just after the rain!

Today was a club group walk day where three walk groups walked in the same area of Booderee National Park. Tony W led the Andante (easy-ish) 7km walk from Summercloud Bay to Blacks Harbour in the quest to spot some whales. There were 15 happy walkers.
