Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Shoalhaven Bushwalkers is a bushwalking club based in Nowra, New South Wales. We do not exist to provide information to the public.

We have a selection of walks for members each Wednesday and weekend activities as well. Shoalhaven Bushwalkers club policy precludes us from specifying exact locations in our posts. Many of our walks are in the more remote areas of the Shoalhaven (and beyond) where navigation can be difficult, phone coverage can be non-existent, and help can be far away and a long time coming. We have a duty of care to protect members of the public who view photos of our walks on Facebook whose fitness, health (including mental health), abilities and experience we do not know. We also want to protect the locations we walk from over-use and abuse at the hands of less well-intentioned people than ourselves. Our page exists primarily for our members, but also to promote both our club, and the benefits of walking with a club. Shoalhaven Bushwalkers Inc is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW. We adhere to their Bushwalkers Code of Ethics (http://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/bushwalkers-code/) and their Natural Areas Policy (http://www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au/bushwalking/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/BNSW-Policy-on-Natural-Areas-1998.pdf)

On Saturday, Andy led us around Little Beecroft Head to Gosangs Tunnel and on to a beautiful little ravine. We saw whales and their calves, did a bit of rock climbing and bush bashing. Another great day!

14 Volunteers from Shoalhaven Bushwalkers and Milton NPA joined forces with Rob and his team of field officers from National Parks to do some much needed track maintenance in The Budawangs. The result is excellent with the fallen trees sawn through as well as the scrubby regrowth on the tracks cut at ground level. It is now a pleasurable experience to walk but won’t stay this way unless people like you continue to walk along these tracks. The track is Sassafras through to Long Gully near Yadbora. This weeks work was The Vines to Hidden Valley ( Styles Creek area). Recent years concentrated on the sections to the south.

We enjoyed a scenic coastal adventure exploring Ulladulla’s stunning coastline and beautiful Wildflower Reserve. We took a leisurely stroll along the coast to the harbour, where we enjoyed an optional fish and chips lunch. Afterwards, we headed to Warden Head Reserve for a delightful walk among the wildflowers, taking in spectacular ocean views and spotting local wildlife along the way. It was a wonderful day filled with fresh sea air, nature and discovery!

Today Greg led us on a walk under the cliffs of Drawing Room Rocks, up a dry creek bed and out to Kangaroo Ridge Lookout. We then returned to view Drawing Room Rocks before heading back to the cars. It was a very varied walk and the weather was good. A great day out - Thanks Greg!
