💜 MONDAY NDIS TIP: Do you understand what you're agreeing to?
When starting with a disability support provider, you may be asked to sign a Service Agreement.
But what exactly are you agreeing to? 🤔
A Service Agreement is more than just paperwork. It's an opportunity to make sure you and your provider understand each other's expectations.
✅ Your agreement should clearly explain:
💜 Your supports — What services will you receive, and when?
💙 Your costs — What will you be charged, including any additional fees or transport costs?
💜 Cancellations — What happens if you need to cancel or change a shift?
💙 Your choices — How can you request changes to your supports or agreement?
💜 Your rights — How can you raise concerns, provide feedback or make a complaint?
And here's something important to remember!
You can ask questions, request changes and seek help understanding an agreement before accepting it.
For most NDIS supports, a written Service Agreement isn't compulsory, although the NDIA recommends having one. Specialist Disability Accommodation is an exception.
At Encore Support, we believe good support begins with clear communication, transparency and mutual understanding.
Because you deserve to know exactly what you're agreeing to. 💜
✨ Your support. Your choices. Your voice.
