A landmark win!

After years of our advocacy and securing $370,000 from philanthropy and $800,000 from the South Australian government, we're thrilled to see the Australian Government commit the final $2.7 million needed to complete the Dudley Peninsula Feral Cat Eradication Program on Kangaroo Island.

This funding package means the world's largest feral cat eradication ever undertaken on an inhabited island can now be completed.

With fewer than 150 feral cats remaining, the finish line is finally in sight.

By permanently removing feral cats, we're helping secure the future of remarkable wildlife like the critically endangered Kangaroo Island dunnart, little penguins and many other native species found nowhere else on Earth.

This is one of Australia's most significant conservation achievements, and a powerful example of what can happen when communities, philanthropy and governments back ambitious conservation with the long-term funding needed to finish the job.
