4WD NSW & ACT would like to share the incredible efforts of the Shoalhaven 4WD Club & Black Diamond Recreational 4wd Club Inc at the Nerriga Hotel Black Dog Institute Camp oven cooking competition. These two amazing clubs plus 6 other teams each cooked 225 servings of delicious food for judging by the public judges. This is the forth year this event has taken place, and not including today, has raised incredible $58,000 for the Black Dog Institute. A huge crowd supported today's event, and we are hopeful of exceeding $80,000 this year. Congratulations to both clubs on a fantastic achievement.

We’ve undertaken extensive community consultation for the proposed Great Koala National Park – one of the largest ever undertaken for a new national park 🐨

We listened and gathered your feedback through face-to-face meetings, group forums, events, online sessions, and the Have Your Say survey which received nearly 4,000 responses.

Locals shared with us their appreciation for the recreation opportunities, outstanding conservation values, natural beauty and wellbeing benefits that this area provides. This feedback showing strong support for improved protection for koalas and other threatened species, while continuing support for a wide range of recreational activities, will help inform management decisions into the future.

Plans for the proposed park will support recreation and conservation, alongside cultural priorities while also increasing jobs and nature-based experiences.
