It was a cool blustery morning but that didn’t stop 15 hardy volunteers from turning up this morning.
We met at the shelter in Semaphore and worked northwards in the dunes near The Palais.
We got rained on once but it wasn’t enough to stop us from completing our morning’s work.
A fantastic effort from all volunteers as can be seen by the many bags full of weeds.
A post work session chat and cuppa was at High Tide, our regular cafe on Semaphore Rd.

Come along to our fundraiser film night on Thursday 11th June at the Odeon Star Cinemas. The film is directed by Nora Fingscheidt and written by Fingscheidt and Amy Liptrot, based on Liptrot's 2016 memoir The Outrun.

Hear guest speaker Dr Brad Martin from OzFish Unlimited - Adelaide Chapter talk about seagrass restoration - dense underwater meadows that are amongst the most productive ecosystems in the world.

Lefvre Dunes Groups are local volunteer groups. Volunteers are passionate about the natural environment, particularly the conservation of plants and animals.

Such a great morning weeding in the dunes at Taperoo. The rain stayed away for most of the morning as we removed plenty of invasive plants from the dunes.

Thanks to volunteers and the local community for coming along, the dunes are looking so much better already, especially combined with the gentle rain.

A big thanks to Taperoo Dunes Group for the delicious morning tea. A wonderful way to celebrate Volunteering SA&NT and Volunteering Australia week.

This morning we were back at Semaphore working north of the jetty. The photos show the huge amount of weeds collected and some of our hard working volunteers. 💪🏼
We all enjoyed a well deserved cuppa and chat afterwards at High Tide. ☕️💚

Today we met at the shelter shed south of Largs Jetty. We were joined by Friends of Para Wirra Conservation Park.
We worked together weeding in the dunes until 11am.
It was a perfect mid autumn day, warm and sunny with no wind.
When the work session finished, we had a delicious morning tea provided by Semaphore Largs volunteers.
After morning tea we did a coastal walk from Largs Jetty to Semaphore Jetty with Friends of Para Wirra.

Such a great Community Weeding Morning at Largs Bay today. A big thanks to all the regular volunteers, new volunteers, community members and EBS Group for filling bags and bags of weeds and removing them from the dunes.

On days like today we feel like we are winning the euphorbia and fleebane battle. Morning tea was a treat, thanks again to regular volunteers for bringing great food.

The pelicans put on a splendid show while we worked.
