Secret Harbour Community Garden Group ⬇️

🌱 You’re Invited – Opening Day at Secret Harbour Community Garden! 🌱

Join us on 23 May from 9:30am – 12pm at the Community Gardens (next to the park near Jamaica Blue) as we celebrate the opening of this exciting new space!

Reminder !

Are you part of a community group or volunteer organisation that’s just starting out? Or part of an established group doing amazing work, but needing time to strengthen systems, attract new volunteers, and reduce volunteer burnout?

This workshop is an opportunity for your team to refocus, regroup, and start planning strategically for future projects and success.

The City of Kwinana and the City of Rockingham are hosting a Community Group Reset Workshop, designed especially for community groups and volunteers.

Saturday, 9 May
Medina Hall
12:00pm – 3:30pm

This session will give your team the chance to; hear fresh ideas - access practical resources - connect with like-minded people and most importantly—create space and time to plan together.

Have kids? No problem—we’ll have a dedicated space and activities to keep them entertained. Lunch and refreshments will be all be provided.

📢 Community Consultation – We Want Your Ideas!

Join us on Tuesday 31st March 2pm - 3pm at

➡️the rear gate near the oval (Secret Harbour Primary School) ⬅️

to chat about the Streets Alive Project.

Thanks to a $5,000 grant, we’re looking at ways to improve safety in the area—especially around illegal parking and visibility—while also making the space more welcoming and community-friendly.

💡 Come along to:
• Share your ideas
• Give feedback on the space
• See what others are suggesting
• Help shape the final design

We’ll also have a QR code available if you prefer to submit your feedback online.

Looks like a fun event the City of Rockingham have organised.

We are ready to kickoff our 2026 plans🎉. If you are keen to join our Secret Harbour Town Team, we are having a meeting at the
Secret Harbour Shops community space (near reddot)
Wednesday 11th Feb 7pm.

Meetings only go for an hour or so, brief introduction, chat about current projects and discuss plans for 2026.

Thank you to everyone who was part of the Secret Harbour Town Team’s Summer Tunes and Christmas Carols event. We are a group of volunteers who create events and activations to bring our community together, and we couldn’t do it without your support.

A huge thank you to the City of Rockingham, Bendigo Community Bank Rockingham, and Partnerships with Purpose for backing us and helping bring this event to life.

Thank you also to the Secret Harbour Firies for bringing Santa along and for running a fantastic fundraising sausage sizzle.

Our goal was to create a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon where parents could simply bring a picnic blanket and some snacks, while the kids enjoyed free activities and everyone soaked up the festive spirit with Christmas carols. For those who wished, there were also wonderful market stalls to browse and food trucks to enjoy.

A special thank you to the Secret Harbour Primary School Junior Choir, Charlie Rodwell, Sing Australia, and the Lakelands Choir. We absolutely loved the fantastic music—each of you performed beautifully.

This was our final event for the year. We’ll be taking a short break and returning at the end of January for our next meeting as we begin planning an exciting year ahead. We’ve come a long way in 2025, establishing ourselves under the banner of Partnerships with Purpose, which has allowed us to access grants through auspicing. With new members joining and some exciting ideas already in the pipeline, 2026 is looking bright.
