The Shed was formed at a public meeting at the Burnett Room, Ballarat Community Health, 260 Vickers Street Sebastopol on Wed 24th June 2014. At this meeting BCHS offered the Shed the use of the Burnett Room as a meeting place until a more permanent premises is found. A Steering Committee was formed was formed with Stephen Pope as Chair and John Cooper as Secretary. Stephen has since resigned due t

o health reasons and has been replaced by Les Shimmin. A core group of approximately 15 has been attended the Tuesday meetings of the Shed but we expect this number to grow substantially when we move into the our own premises. We have been offered the use of the property situated at 3 Yarrowee Street Sebastopol as our premises. This property has been offered by Greg Smith from Greg Smith Homes. We have had nothing but support from the Business Community, the people of Sebastopol, the YMCA,the Ballarat South Community Hub and Ballarat Community Health Services.

Our Story

The Shed was formed at a public meeting at the Burnett Room, Ballarat Community Health, on Wed 24th June 2014. At this meeting BCHS offered the Shed the use of the Burnett Room as a meeting place until a more permanent premises is found.A Steering Committee was formed. A core group of approximately 15 has been attended the Tuesday meetings of the Shed but we expect this number to grow substantially when we move into the our own premises. We have been offered the use of the property situated at 3 Yarrowee Street Sebastopol as our premises. This property has been offered by Greg Smith from Greg Smith Homes. We have had nothing but support from the Business Community, the people of Sebastopol, the YMCA,the Ballarat South Community Hub and Ballarat Community Health Services. Since then the Shed has grown exponentially to have over 70 members and has built a purpose built shed at 201 Vickers S Sebastopol over the road from where the shed was formed
