Scouting is a worldwide movement that has shaped the development of youth and adults for over 100 years, The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. This aim is achieved through a strong
and active program that inspires young people to do their best and always be prepared. Seastone Venture Unit is a dynamic, innovative and exciting cohort of youth members aged 14-18. We believe in a do-it-yourself, fun, adventurous and challenging program that will bring together young people who feel the same way. Our program is perfectly suited to everybody, as our ever changing, ever growing unit is ran by unit council (youth members) and adult leaders are there to provide advice. Becoming a part of the scouting movement gives you the opportunity to become involved in staging professional shows, develop skills such as photography and debating and for the more adventurous venture caving, abseiling, canoeing, 4-wheel driving and hiking are some of the many activities our unit has partaken in.
