🔋 POWER UP! 🔋

​Our Joeys absolutely electrified us this week! We dove headfirst into the world of STEM to explore all things power. ⚡️

​We kicked things off with a brilliant discussion about the energy we use every day, how we can save it, and how we can store and reuse power to help our planet.

However the real magic happened when we got hands-on and literally created fruit power! 🍋🍎 Yes, you read that right—our Joeys are basically mad scientists now

​We also looked to the skies to figure out how we can capture energy from the sun. The ideas were flying, and these incredibly inquisitive minds have already started planning some epic solar projects that we’ll begin building next week! ☀️🛠️

​We are so proud of how deeply they engaged with big concepts. Watch out world, the future is looking incredibly bright! 💡✨

Last week some of our Scouts and Venturers went on an adventure working on Special interest Areas and Sustainable Development Goals.

It was off to Savers at Noarlunga to do their bit for reducing, reusing and recycling.

The Mission was to collect items they could use at our upcoming camp and at the Scout Hall and by purchasing items that would have otherwise ended up in the rubbish bin it was a win for the environment too!

They looked at everything in the store and had a few mini challenges to complete along the way before purchasing a book and a mug!

We think they did an excellent job and are eagerly awaiting to see what Special interests come next!

We are so grateful for all of our volunteers our
Parent helpers, Committee members, Treasurer, Leaders within our group who volunteer their support tirelessly with us, without whom we could not run such an amazing group.

We are also grateful for all those at district, state and national level who help support our youth, programs , clerical and day to day running of our branch.

Thank you for making such a difference.

Lest we forget.

​It was a privilege to stand together in the early morning quiet at the Port Noarlunga Christies Beach RSL Dawn Service today.

​As the sun began to rise over the coast, our youth members stood tall, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the ANZACs.

Seeing our Scouts stand in solemn silence alongside our local community is a powerful reminder of why we wear the uniform to serve, to remember, and to carry forward the values of mateship and selfless service.

​We are incredibly proud of how our Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers conducted themselves. Their participation ensures that the stories of those who served are never forgotten by the generations to follow.

​Thank you to the Port Noarlunga Christies Beach RSL for hosting such a moving service and for welcoming our group to be part of this important tradition.

​We will remember them.

Tonight our little Joey ledgends retuned to scouting!

What a wonderful night we had practicing our scout skills putting up tents, talking about what to bring, and planning our menu for our camp later this term!

We also had a mock Emergency drill and a visit from a kangaroo what an awesome first night back.

The wait is over! After a great break, we are officially heading back to Scouts next week.
