TransCare Hunter Limited TransCare provides Aged Care and Community Transport services in the Upper Hunter. This includes social events and a wide range of in-home services.

TransCare Hunter Limited is a not-for-profit organisation providing support and services to people residing in the Muswellbrook Shire Council and Upper Hunter Shire Council areas. We are a registered provide for the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and for Home Care Packages (HCP). These programs are designed to support older people to live in their own homes for as long as possible. Trans

Care also operates the Community Transport Program running local bus services between towns across the region as a registered provider for Transport for NSW.

The Wellness Program had an EXCELLENT day visiting the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park near Cessnock. The weather was perfect and we stopped for morning tea at the Parkview Café in Singleton before making our way to the Wildlife Park.

We all stamped our animal passports as we made our way around the Wildlife Park. We stopped off at the Marquee Café for some lunch, accompanied by peacocks.

Everyone had a great time and picked up some goodies from the Souvenir shop to remember the day.

The Wellness Program enjoyed a fun filled ANZAC Craft session with an Easter inspired morning tea. Everyone contributed to making an ANZAC Wreath to hang in our TransCare Office and we all made a Broach to wear for ANZAC celebrations on Saturday.
We had ANZAC Tributes and songs playing on the big screen in the back ground, Carol was kind enough to bring some of her War Time tressures for everyone to look at and plenty of stories shared.

Highly recommend “The Great Escaper” starring Michael Caine and based on a true story of a 90-year-old British Navy Veteran who Broke Out of his nursing home to attend the 70th Anniversary D-Day commemorations in France. The 7 clients that attended gave it five stars and all really enjoyed it. There were funny bits, sad bits and overall feel-good movie, paired with a delicious morning tea, making it a great outing for all.

We had the luck of the Irish on our side yesterday for a Fantastic St Patrick’s Day Trip! The sun was shining and there was a nice breeze as we stopped at Christa’s Cloverleaf Café for morning tea and some St Pats Selfies.
They must have known the Wellness Party Bus was coming as it was a packed house at Harrigan’s Irish Pub Pokolbin!! The atmosphere was very fun and festive as everyone donned Green St Pats outfits and jigged along to the Irish Band and traditional Irish dancers.
Service was quick and the meals were large and delicious, after lunch we all gathered outside to take in the festivities.
