Started in thick fog, by the time we had hiked to the top of Mt Moobi it was lovely clear day. Thanks to all the land holders for allowing us to walk across this special part of the valley.

Venturers went Rockclimbing at Rutherford last night!

In overcast conditions, we had around 30 people including members from 2nd Muswellbrook Scout Group and Singleton Scout Group join us on our hike up Scone Mountain National Park into Figtree Creek gully. The dry rainforest pocket in this gully has bounced back well after the 2023 Scone Mountain Fire.

Scouts making Contour models and Venturers helping us read them off topographic maps ready for our upcoming hiking season. Meanwhile Venturers welcomed Rotary Exchange student, Sal, who is a Scout from Czech Republic.

We host a first aid course every 3 years. Last one was held on the day Scone Mountain was on fire! Time for another course - this year being held on Sun 11 Oct, 1 - 4pm at Scone Scout hall.
