AGM #2 - Thursday 3 September. 6pm at the Scone RSL.

As previously advised - the AGM to establish our Committee for 2026/27 season will be held this Thursday. All team representatives from last year's competition have been advised and we are hopeful, that we will have a good level of support on Thursday.

There are many 'jobs' that need to be filled. These include:
President
Senior Vice President
Junior Vice President (as in Junior Comp)
Secretary
Treasurer
Registrar
Referee Coordinator
Canteen Coordinator
Representative Coordinator
Assistant Representative Coordinator
Rep Selector - Head
Social Media
General Committee Members

The Club does not run on its own.

We in the order of 800 junior and senior players register into teams and we need help to run a successful competition.

Please make the effort to get along to this meeting. It will be less than an hour of your time and will ensure that we have a solid base for 2026/27.

Interested in being a referee?

An Affiliate Level ref course is being offered in Scone.

WHEN: 13 October
WHERE: Scone RSL (upstairs) commencing at 6pm

There is a fee to pay for the course - which you can do by following the link below.

To get the qualification - you must be turning 12 this calendar year.

Scone Touch would love to see more young refs getting their qualification and be given the opportunity to help on Thursdays.

Of course - those a little older are very welcome to attend the course as well.. More details are provided on the link below.

We need refs for our Thursday competition - junior and senior. Further we need refs for representative Gala Days and Competitions.

AGM CANCELLED
Do you like playing touch? Do you like your children playing touch in the junior competition? Do you care if there is a touch competition this year??

I have been involved with Scone Touch for over 30 years. Tonight, at the AGM - I experienced the worst roll up to an AGM in all that time. We had 7 attend and 4 apologies.

All those attending were prepared to do jobs that are essential for the Club to operate - but it is not enough! We have more jobs that need someone to put their hand up and take on. Additionally, we need general Committee members who we can rely on to help when it is needed.

Last year we had an executive committee of 10 people and another 7 on the general committee. This gives you an idea of the commitment we need.

Last year we had over 40 senior teams competing and 3 Junior school age groups for K-1, 2-3 and 4--6. We had representative teams which attended a number of carnivals throughout the season.

We want our club to not only 'survive' but to thrive!

That is not going to happen if we get a similar attendance at the next (and likely last) AGM. Those interested have one week to work out their schedule and come along to the RSL again, Thursday 3 September at 6pm. If you can't make it but are prepared to help - send an email to [email protected] and we will be happy to accommodate you.

We have lost a number of sports in Scone due to lack of interest, lack of commitment to making a contribution to keep them going. It is hard to imagine, not having Touch Footy in Scone - but it is a reality - if we don't get support, and assistance to keep some 700 junior and senior players being in teams and playing this great game - which is supposed to start in around 6 weeks!

Please don't ignore this request or plea for help. It is not a big commitment to put your hand up and provide some help to us.

Reminder AGM is on tonight!!

We cannot run these competitions without HELP!

Our Junior Competitions and Representative Programs are growing.

There are a number of positions that need to be filled - but we also just need people to 'lend a hand' when they can as a committee member.

We need a good roll up tonight - it will be less than 1hour of your time.

If you have suggestions on improvements etc - bring them up - we all want to be better if we can.

We don't want to turn up at the AGM and see the same faces that we have year in and year out (well we don't mind seeing them of course!). What we need to ensure the survival and growth of our Club are fresh new faces who can share some time and contribute to the running of our Club.
There are no shortage of ways to help - and we will happily work in with those with limited time to give. Junior competition, senior competition, representative teams, uniform coordination, social media - just to name a few.
The meeting traditionally only takes an hour or so - however it is an important hour for the ongoing success of Scone Touch Football.
Please make the effort - see you there!
