A shared passion for the Australian Stock Horse and a commitment to the future of our Society brought together Members from across Australia for the 2026 AGM.
Over the course of the weekend, Members participated in discussions, heard reports on the year's activities and achievements, celebrated significant contributions to the Society, and took part in processes that help guide the direction of the ASHS.
The willingness of Members to engage, contribute and invest their time in the Society reflects the strength of the Australian Stock Horse family.
Thank you to everyone who travelled to Melbourne or joined online to make the weekend a success.
The Australian Stock Horse has been built by generations of dedicated horsemen and horsewomen. As we move forward, we do so united, for this remarkable breed and our shared commitment to its future.

"Just want to say a big thank you for the shirt Lily Hattam received for winning the Hack and Working sections of the under 13 years ASHS National Youth Point Score with the unicorn, ROSEBROOK STORM - HSH. She will wear the shirt with pride.
Thank you for supporting our youth so well. It’s so great our youth have so many opportunities in the ASHS."

Following the 2026 AGM, the Australian Stock Horse Society would like to congratulate and welcome our newly elected Board of Directors.
We are pleased to welcome four new Directors who bring new perspectives, experience, and enthusiasm to the Board. We also acknowledge and congratulate our returning Directors, whose continued commitment and dedication help guide our Society forward, and recognise the contribution made by outgoing Directors Larry Cutler, Tricia Thomas, Robert Watchirs and Heath Shadgett.
On behalf of our members, we thank all candidates who nominated and put their hands up to serve our Society. The willingness of members to contribute their time, skills, and passion is vital to the ongoing success and future of the Australian Stock Horse.
We look forward to working together as a Board to support our members, promote our breed, and continue building a strong future for the Australian Stock Horse Society.

Congratulations to Evan and Kim Acton, owners of 14yo stallion, MILLUNGERAS MOON BEAM - HSH (HAZELWOOD CONMAN - IS HSH/KIRKBYS STUD BLUE MOON - HSH).
The inaugural trophy, donated by Larry Cutler is awarded to give recognition to an ASH with HSH status who has achieved a number of prestigious campdrafting performances in a calendar year.
MILLUNGERAS MOON BEAM does not need any introduction and his achievements during 2025 are impressive and include winning the World Championship Campdraft at the Sydney Royal Easter Show which is run over a number of rounds on consecutive nights. He also placed 4th in the Stallion Draft at the Warwick Gold Cup and won the Open Campraft at Guyra and the Open for Open at Glen Elgin Campdarft. He also placed 3rd in the Nutrien Classic Restricted Open and the Stallion Shoot Out.
MILLUNGERAS MOON BEAM certainly epitomises the true versatility of the breed and demonstrates the ability to perform at a high level.
