One of the great things about supporting our Members' giving is that we get to see the formation of long-term partnerships between Lodges and charity organisations.

Tynwald Lodge first supported the Sandgate and Bracken Ridge Action Group - commonly known as SANDBAG - in 2017, when they raised $10k to help refurbish the local community hall and provide equipment for a new training business called 'Seeds'. A prime photo opportunity (below)!

Now, in 2026, Tynwald Lodge continues to support Sandbag through a Local Community Partnership facilitated by Hand Heart Pocket. To date, the partnership has raised over $23k for Sandbag and contributed more than 120 volunteer hours.

Brethren from Tynwald Lodge 262 are supporting the wonderful community, Sandbag Community Centre, in hosting the 2025 Sandgate Creative Trail (SasArt). There are some very creative works of art on display and available for purchase. It is a great way to spend a few hours and support the local community at the same time. Tynwald Installation was held last night and a wonderful evening of Freemasonry was had by all. The Most Worshipful Grand Master and his grand team attended, along with many visitors, sister lodges and Tynwald Brethren. We welcome our newest Worshipful Master, Chris Catchpole and his team, and also installed our new IPM, congratulations WB Vecchio on you two consecutive terms in office.
