The tour was very informative and really well organised.

Our major fundraising event for 2026 was our annual Soup Day & Fashion parade, held on Friday July 24.
Our members provided delicious home made soups, desserts and morning tea.
Fashions were from Portofino.
Raffle prizes were kindly donated by local politicians, businesses and Prue C.
A huge thankyou to everyone who helped make the event successful.

Several of our members - Anne, Lyn, Pam, Glen and Robyn, attended the 2026 QA Gala Lunch held at East’s Leagues Club, Coorpooroo on July 3.
They enjoyed a delicious lunch and heard from a speaker representing The Smith Family as well as a past Learning For Life student.

At our June meeting we welcomed three ladies, Heidi, Annette and Sue as well as two beautiful dogs, Angel and Vanda from Guide Dogs. Queensland.
Heidi gave us an insight into the workings of the organisation and Sue shared her story of how she became a guide dog user.
We plan to visit their facility in North Brisbane later in the year.

Patricia was a member of the inaugural committee and has been an active member of our club for over twenty years.
As well as her certificate, Patricia
