Year 2000 ECC, when Graphic design was learnt not taught! Long live local core lord creativity.

We'll have a few NEBR members keeping up tradition and surfing in the comp next weekend at the .anz & .anz East Coast Classic so some get behind them!

Anyone keen to help out also let us know.

NEBR round ONE (attempt three) took place today in really fun conditions at South Shelly Beach. The rain held off and with a building north swell we saw a strong turnout, all having a good time. Big shout out to Tank for judging all day, for getting back involved with the club, taking some big drops, pushing everyone in the opens, and new member showing us how it’s done in the longboard. The open final came down to a 2 point spread between Gerome, Mick, and Andy with Andy taking the win with a big backhand hammer being the stand out turn, and the Women’s was close between Mel and Jenna with Mel picking the best waves and throwing some spray to take it out. The Logs enjoyed some of the longest waves seen at Shelly making the competitive heat fun spectators (particularly the run around). The alt board heat sounded like a good idea, but judging was impossible when contestants are riding boards ranging from 5’ Fishes, 9’ Logs to Foils. So we will say everyone won…

Let’s try again, Sunday the 3rd (this Sunday), if you previously entered for last weekend we will keep you in, if you want to enter let us know, will be plenty of swell, most likely South Shelly or Perons as a backup if the wind is cooked.

NEBR has just secured two incredible opportunities for our club:
$1000 start-up grant through the NRMA Insurance RISE Program x Surfing Australia supporting our new All Women’s Sub Committee- Tassies first all-female BR club sub committee and a huge step in supporting women’s participation and leadership in our club.
$4000 Break O’Day Community Grant for junior development- A massive boost to support our next generation of local surfers.
We’ve got big plans ahead and we’re excited to keep investing in our local surfing community, from the number of epic women involved in our club to the groms coming through. It's about time we bring the NEBR grom patrol back to shake up the east coast lineups . Reach out if you're interested to join up to NEBR and take part in the action!

We have heard rumours the .ritual.vision will be having their East Coast premiere of Ritualistic Tendencies at on Anzac Day. So we thought we could piggyback the event and run ROUND ONE of the club championship that morning. Get your entries in via message or email by the Thursday before.
As this will be held on Anzac Day we will have a delayed start of 9am so people can attend the dawn service if they wish and a minutes silence will be observed during the event. If any competitors wish to attend other services, let us know and we can organise their heats as necessary.
This event will have a limited capacity due to the film start time and Anzac Day, with current financial members getting preference. Entries are a must so get in early!!

North East Boardriders Club Round ONE will be held in the Scamander area on Sunday the 15th of March. Come along and support grassroots surfing by competing in your local Boardriders club. Get your entries in on here or by email ([email protected]) by Friday the 13th. 🤙🏼

NEBR are holding our first Grom day of 2026! This is for all the mini ocean frothers out there. We're planning a meet and greet, on beach coaching with our very own , also games, prizes, snacks and general beach shenanigans!

Where?- Bicheno area!
When? - Sun 1st March.
Time? - 9am to 12pm.
Cost? - kids free with a parent member ($30 for adult = 1 kid membership,) can pay on the day.
