🌟 Thank You, Everyone! 🌟
A big thank you to everyone who attended our AGM, as well as those who sent their apologies.
-We would also like to acknowledge and thank Community Bank Sarina for their ongoing support and sponsorship of our association.
-Sarina Sporting and Services Club for the sponsorship in the use of their rooms.
-Thank you to Councillors Sheedy, Baker, McNamara, Corowa and Johnson for taking the time to attend and support our community.
A special thank you goes to our outgoing Chair, Susie, and Committee Member, Ali, for their dedication, hard work and commitment over the past three years. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated and have helped shape the association into what it is today. 💙
As with any community organisation, we simply cannot operate without the support of volunteers. We are pleased to welcome Leanne to the committee and look forward to the year ahead, with Adele stepping into the role of Chair and Metta continuing as Secretary.
📢 We are currently seeking volunteers for two vacant positions: • Treasurer
• General Committee Member
If you've ever considered getting involved, now is the perfect time. Whether you're new to the area, a little shy, or concerned about the time commitment, please reach out. We're all volunteers and understand the pressures of busy lives, but our association can only thrive when members actively participate.
We currently have 414 members in our Facebook group, but only 26 paid members. If you value the work we do in our community, please consider becoming more involved and supporting the association.

✨ Managing our socials
✨ Looking after our member database
✨ Helping with community updates
✨ Or another small task
Max time: 30 minutes a month!

We’re also looking for:
📄 Secretary – Minutes + quick follow‑ups (about 30 mins/month)
💰 Treasurer – Monthly update (about 30 mins/month)
⭐ Chair & Vice Chair – Around 1-1.5 hours/month

💬 The more hands, the lighter the load — and the more fun we have!

It's a great day to head out to Armstrong Beach and check out the Rural Fire Brigade open day. It starts at 1pm!

ARMIES RURAL FIRE BRIGADE STATION OPEN DAY

RFSQ Brigade Volunteers, family members and local community are invited to come along to celebrate the volunteers who help keep our local communities safe, playing a vital role in protecting lives, property and the environment.

RFSQ Volunteers respond to incidents, support bushfire preparedness, and work closely with their communities year-round. This is an opportunity to recognise their contribution and say thanks.

The event will be held at Armies Rural Fire Brigade, 681 Armstrong Beach Road,
Armstrong Beach on Saturday, 20th June 2026 from 1.00pm.

A free BBQ Sausage Sizzle will take place after official presentations that will be open to the public.

Bring your family and come meet your local Rural Fire Brigade and volunteers, the RFSQ Mascot Bushy and check out the Yellow Firefighting Trucks that will be on display.
