To the person or persons that felt compelled to remove the cans & bottles from the crate situated at the gate just inside Day Park.
These bottles & cans were kindly donated by people in the Community to the Gemfields Riding for Disabled to claim refund on from Containers for change to help with the cost of feeding, medical expenses for the horses to keep this organisation going during the off season.
We sincerely hope you needed to claim the refund. The crate has been there for the last five years or so and was started by Jeff Power to the Cave when he was fundraising.
Please leave this crate for what it is there for a drop off point for people in the Community that want to donate to Gemfields Riding for the Disabled. Feel free to return what you took if this hits a nerve.

Gemfields Riding for the Disabled would like to thank everyone that took the time to come and support us and the 6 stalls today at Sapphire Central markets.
This is our last canteen for 2025 and we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
Looking forward to seeing you next year in March as we begin 2026.

Sunday October 6th is Gemfields last canteen for 2024, come down say hi to our hardworking volunteers Robyn. Nikki, Phiona & myself. Have a yummy brekky of bacon,egg & salad sandwich, or burger with the lot, sausage with onion, hot dogs, chips, toasted sandwiches & wash it down with a hot or cold drink.
We greatly appreciate your patronage over the year and look forward to seeing you again next year.

Sapphire Sunday markets on again this Sunday at RoyDay Park. Gemfields Riding for Disabled are running the canteen so come along browse the many stalls for a bargain, say hello to people you meet there.
Grab a yummy brekky of bacon & egg sandwich, sausage & onion, hot dog, burger sandwich, hot chips, hot & cold drinks. Also toasted sandwiches - cheese & tomato, ham cheese & tomato, chicken & cheese. Pineapple, onion optional extras.

Tomorrow Sunday is Day 3 of the Jewel of the Gemfields Festival so come on down to the markets and grab a last minute bargain.
Gemfields Riding for the Disabled are running the canteen in the Gemfields Community Gardens area.
We will have our usual menu of egg & bacon, beef patty sandwiches with salad, chips, hot & cold drinks. Introducing specials for the day of hot dogs & toasted sandwiches.
Come and say hello to our friendly volunteers & have a yummy breakfast.

Don’t forget Sapphire Sunday markets are on again tomorrow, so come along have a browse of the many stalls displaying gems, tools, clothes, jewellery, etc and pick up a bargain or two.
Gemfields Riding for Disabled are running canteen. Yummy egg & bacon sandwiches, beef burgers, bacon onion & egg with or without salad, sausage & onion on bread. Cup of chips, hot & cold drinks available.
