North Ramsgate Amateur Swimming Club - NRASC North Ramsgate Amateur Swimming Club has been operating for almost 80 years, and offers a fun, friendly environment for kids and adults.

North Ramsgate Amateur Swimming Club's races are run on handicap starts. Using handicap races provides the opportunity for all swimmers to win races, trophies and become club champions. The club races are held on Sunday mornings commencing at 7.30am and finish at 9.00am. Officials usually arrive around 7am to set up and collate events. The race season lasts for 22 weeks commencing about the second

weekend of October with a two week break over Christmas/New Year. NRASC was formed almost eighty years ago and until 1970 operated from Pemberton baths (where Coles are located on the Grand Parade, Ramsgate Beach). During the last 40 years NRASC has successful co-existed with the other clubs that use Sans Souci and Carss Park pools. Our aim has always been to cater for swimmers of all age groups i.e. children and their mums and dads. We welcome ALL new swimmers to come along and have some fun - 7am each Sunday morning throughout Summer.

Sarah and I have been members of this club for quite a few years now, I love the friendly, encouraging atmosphere. Sarah loves the competition.
NRSC is an amateur swim club that meets every Sunday morning during summer (October to March) for fun and competitive handicap swim races at Sans Souci heated outdoor pool. A perfect club for swimmers of all abilities and ages, the handicap system makes it equal for all. The club is a well established and supported club, dating back to 1932.
A member summed it up really well, The club is a supportive community, providing opportunities for fitness, skill development, and friendly competition. It’s also a great way to build friendships, while staying active and having fun together.

Another season of summer swimming over till October. Its been a great season. Such a great club, the variety of races have improved my fitness and members all provide friendly competition and encouragement. Its a club for all ages. Wishing health to all over the winter season. Its great too that my daughter now as a team for her ocean swims, so much better swimming with friends.
