We’ve been trying to find the right words for what Ava’s Leaves of Love means from us to you. Not the fundraising, not the events and not the posters. The heart behind it all.

The truth is, none of this was ever part of our plan. We would give absolutely anything to have Ava here instead. But through the unimaginable, we’ve experienced kindness, support, friendship and community in ways we never knew existed.

We’ve learnt that people don’t always remember the big things. They remember how you made them feel, seen, supported and loved.

Ava had a way of bringing people together. She found magic in the simplest things. A butterfly, a cupcake, a soccer game and a dance party in the kitchen. She loved hard, laughed loudly and somehow managed to leave a little sparkle wherever she went.

So that’s what Ava’s Leaves of Love is all about 🩷:

A community built on kindness, love and helping others, inspired by Ava. Spread kindness like glitter, love without limits, and leave every place a little brighter than you found it.

If we can do that, then a little piece of Ava’s magic continues to live on in all of us.

As many of you know, soccer was a huge part of our family’s life long before Ava’s Round/ Ava’s Leaves of Love came to be. Through some of our hardest days, YP Soccer wrapped its arms around us, reminded us what community truly means, and gave us a place to belong.

Becoming a Silver Sponsor isn’t about a banner or a logo. It’s about giving back to a club that has given so much to us. It’s about investing in young people, friendships, community spirit, and creating opportunities for families to connect through sport.

Ava absolutely loved being at the soccer grounds. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, kicking a ball around, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, she was always part of the action. 💗⚽️

We are incredibly grateful to be able to support a club that means so much to our family and to continue honouring Ava’s legacy through community, kindness, and connection.

Sharing our ray of sunshine and beautiful sunset.

You remind us every day why life is magical through your daily signs. Whether it’s a butterfly, a rainbow, a perfectly timed song, or a sunset that takes our breath away, we feel your love in so many little moments.

Ava’s advice? Have daily dance parties. They’re fun, they’re silly, and they remind us not to take life too seriously. The best part is they’re contagious, one smile becomes two, one laugh becomes many.

So turn the music up, spin around, be a little goofy, and spread joy like glitter.

Some days it’s tucked quietly into the background while you smile, work, parent, laugh and keep moving.

Sometimes it looks like being “fine” all day and then not fine at 11pm.
Sometimes it simply looks like surviving a Tuesday.

Before grief touched our lives, we never truly understood how important support like this was. ❤️💗

We imagine and believe you’re having the most magical time in Ava’s garden. Making potions, smelling the flowers, picking petals and turning them into all things beautiful and magical. Getting up close to the ants, caterpillars, butterflies and ladybugs, running amongst the crops and soaking in the views of the Yorke Valley you adored so much.

Spinning in your pretty dress, watching it flow as you twirl faster and faster, filling the air with giggles, happy squeals and the biggest smile while you create magical little moments everywhere you go.

Keep painting beautiful sunrises and sunsets for us. Keep making pictures in the clouds for us to find and guess. Point out the rainbows and the colours you can see. Look for the birdies flying in the sky and all the animals on the land, as you make their noises with such pride. Keep laughing, playing and having fun with all the other kids until we meet again.

We love you sooooo much, our beautiful girl 💗🤍💜

Grief has no timeline and love doesn’t have an expiry date either.

Long after the flowers fade, life seems to move on for everyone else but the heartbreak still exists quietly in the background.

Checking in weeks, months or years later can mean more than you’ll ever realise. It gives people space to speak their loved one’s name, share the memories they hold close and let out the heartache that still lingers within them. 🤍

If you’ve been thinking about checking in on someone lately. Send the message, make the phone call or pop in and visit them. After all, smiling, laughing and being kind is contagious ✨
