Rotary Club of Sandgate Rotary Club of Sandgate is a friendly club, encouraging and fostering the ideal of service in our local community and internationally.

The Rotary Club of Sandgate inaugural meeting was held at the Masonic Hall, Sandgate in September 1950. The club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Fortitude Valley and the Charter was presented on the 2nd December 1950 at a ceremony at the Sandgate Town Hall. Many significant projects have been successfully completed for the Sandgate community, through the tireless efforts of Club Members, initi

ally numbering just over 60 but now down to 14. Some projects are: Rotary Park in Southerden St, bus shelter at Symes Grove Aged Care, a cricket pitch laid in the Deagon Oval, a Lagoon Beautification Project in Brighton Road with the building of a playground for the children and trees planted, and much more. Our main fundraisers for the year are Carols in the Park, sausage sizzle at Einpunpin Festival and Bunnings, Australia Day BBQ, Rock Under the Clock assistance, annual charity golf day, monthly promotion day at Woolworth s, major Guests Speakers, and other Rotary Projects assisting Polio Plus, mental health, ROMAC, and more.
