At Samford Scout Group, we provide young persons aged 5 to 25 with enjoyable and challenging opportunities to grow through new adventure. With youth and adult members from various backgrounds and with varying abilities, Scouts the largest and most successful youth organisation in Queensland and the world. The long established Samford Scout Group is one of the largest Scout groups as we are in a wonderful part of Queensland where we can all explore adventure in our own amazing local outdoor environment. Today’s Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of outdoor activities, from ‘traditional Scouting skills’ such as camping and bush craft, through to more extreme challenges such as abseiling, overnight hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, rock climbing, sailing and even flying! Scouts also have the opportunity to become involved in performing arts, leadership development, community service, amateur radio operation, environmental projects, large-scale Australian events such as Cuborees, Jamborees and Ventures, international events, and service projects in developing countries. At Samford Scout Group, we put the needs of young people first. Our youth led, adult supported approach ensures that we contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
