Here is a fantastic local event for the whole family to visit local gardens, learn about sustainable gardening practices and to discover how to easily grow your own food at your home. The Samford Edible Garden Trail is a community initiative to encourage and inspire people to grow their own food and how to start doing it. Over the weekend of 17/18 May 2025 the most inspiring edible gardens in Samford and surrounding areas will open their gates to everyone. You can view and learn about permaculture designs π swales π₯ raised garden beds π compost bays π₯¬ square-foot gardening π₯ fruit tree guilds πΆοΈ orchards π½ annuals π₯ perennials π arches π domes π chicken houses π₯¦ fruitπ and syntropic farming. Open edible gardens will be at Bunya, Cedar Creek, Draper, Highvale, Mount Samson and Samford.
