🐾🧡 MEET RUSTY – THE BOY WITH SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE! 🧡🐾

Imagine being returned for loving your humans too much! 🥹💔

Meet Rusty, our beautiful 6-month-old boy who has been hand-reared in our care since he was just a tiny baby. 🍼🐱

Rusty is quite possibly one of the most affectionate boys you’ll ever meet! Unfortunately, after finding what we thought was his forever home, Rusty was returned for being too affectionate. 💔

You see, Rusty absolutely LOVES his humans! He’ll happily follow you around the house, keeping a close eye on everything you’re doing and sneaking in every extra pat and cuddle he possibly can! ❤️

He’s not needy, he’s simply a well-mannered, loving little gentleman who enjoys being part of your day and spending time with his favourite people. 🥹

💕 And the best part? Rusty is fantastic with children, dogs and other cats! He’s a beautiful, adaptable boy who would fit into just about any loving family.

🏡 Can we find Rusty the forever home he deserves? A family who will cherish his beautiful personality and give him all the love he has to offer in return.

📍 Salisbury East, SA
💰 Special reduced adoption fee: $150
🐾 6 months old

Please share Rusty! Somewhere out there is someone dreaming of a cat who loves them this much. Let’s help them find each other! 🧡🐾

Meet Agatha! 🐈‍⬛💕

This little lady has recently discovered the joys of solid food… but hasn’t quite mastered the art of eating it without wearing it! 😂

After thoroughly enjoying her dinner (and covering herself from head to toe), it was time for a much-needed bubble bath! 🧼🫧

Full belly, clean face and one very happy little Agatha! 🥹❤️

🚨🐾 27 SOULS. 24 HOURS. 🐾🚨

Sometimes we go quiet on social media — not because there’s nothing happening, but because behind the scenes, we are absolutely flat out.

In just 24 hours, 27 cats and kittens needed AKR. 💔

🍼 6 tiny 4–5 week olds arrived emaciated and starving after losing their mum.

🚑 3 newborn neonates came from an emergency vet after being found without their mum.

🐱 3 little 5-week-olds were found alone — thankfully, we returned with a trap and caught their starving mumma within 30 seconds. ❤️

💔 4 premature neonates, weighing only 60–70g, were found freezing in a box. Sadly, two have passed away 🌈 while two continue to fight.

🩸 5 babies were found lying in a pile of blood. Mum hasn’t returned despite monitoring and traps being set, so her babies are now safely in care.

🚗 5 orphaned kittens travelled from Renmark after their mum was tragically shot on a property. They’re only just weaning and still need extra support.

27 little lives in 24 hours.

This is kitten season — and it’s only just beginning. Our carers are stretched, supplies are disappearing and the vet bills keep coming.

But we want to keep saying YES when they need us. 💙

🚨 PEOPLE’S FIRST LOTTERY ENDS TOMORROW! 🚨

Tickets are only $2, and 100% of our ticket sales come back to AKR.

Then we head straight into our Ultimate Christmas Raffle 🎄 with $10 tickets, helping keep us operational through our busiest season.

$2 or $10 might not feel like much — but together, it becomes formula, food, vet care, warmth and another little life we can save. 🍼🩺🐾

If we’ve ever helped you, you’ve adopted from us, followed our animals’ journeys or simply believe these lives are worth fighting for — please get behind us. 🙏💙
