In light of our sabbatical news, reading this, in perfect timing!

We have been extra quiet on here , as we move through all the emotions. And it’s time to practice what we preach!

After 4 years, two more babies, the incredible Mother of all Fairs and the launch of the Motherhood Rolodex, we have decided the next move for Saint Majella is a creative rejuvenation, a sabbatical if you may.

Our labour of love has had us working hard when our babies slept, in the margins of motherhood, on walks, in parks, on our phones as our children clawed at our feet, thousands of WhatsApp messages, and with the full support of our patient but weary partners! It has brought us so much joy and so many new friends but also demanded so much of us.

The task at hand, of building the supported motherhood has gotten two big for the two of us, and at this time with our small and precious babies we cannot give our Saint Majella baby all it needs to thrive!

So in a revolutionary turn of events, we are saying yes to rest, yes to a supported motherhood for us, no to pushing until burnout and HELLO to a time of spaciousness!

As we know spaciousness is where creativity flows, so it is with every intention that this break will allow us to come back more prepared, more supported, rejuvenated and ready to connect and empower mothers and disrupt the status quo!

Over this sabbatical.. you can expect content coming from a truly inspired space only, (no more posting for engagement or insights IYKYK).

The Motherlode is now available on our substack and we plan to keep up inspiring and important chats over there.

The Motherhood Rolodex, podcast, Culture Cubs and the Mother of all Fairs will no longer be available during this sabbatical.

From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank all the special people in this community that have joined us on this journey, there has been SO much magic made! Together we know we will continue to walk a path to revolutionary motherhood… all in good time!

PSA: Mum can yoga with kids in tow!!!!

On Friday last week we went to Yogalates at - the session offered free childminding so that we could sink into the class run by host Jordan.

Studio Paradise offers free childminding for two classes per week, Tuesday at 9.30am for MUMfit and Friday and 9.30am for Yogalates. Enjoy x

“Humans are not wired to be constantly wired” - Cal Newport encourages readers to spend time alone, with our own thoughts and no outside interruptions, in his book Digital Minimalism.

This means no podcast on in the background, no book in the lap, no emails or text messages being responded to, but literally just being. How often do you spend in real solitude? What are we missing by forgoing this?

Highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone as a way to consider the impact tech (and other general distractions) have on our lives.

Thank you .newport for the insights, I think this book could positively impact a lot of mothers in our community.

Our little Culture Cubs are preparing for the winter solstice.

Join us on Wednesday June 12th at 9.30am as we gather to make our colourful lanterns.

Together we will meet at St Andrews Rec Club and connect to our creativity. We’ll share a cuppa and talk about our week with other like-minded parents. And at the end we will have story time with Jeminah 📚
