We have the Oceania Judo Championships in Melbourne this weekend with several of our smaller islands in town to compete (Samoa, Fiji, Guam, Tonga, Kiritibati and Vanuatu). Very small teams. With big hearts!

The biggest day will be on Sunday at MSAC starting at 9am.

From the United Pasifika Council of Victoria we celebrate together with all our Pasifika communities in Victoria the Resurrection day. We pray for special blessings over our communities. May this be a time of reflection on the great sacrifice so that we could be reconciled with God through Jesus our Lord. At the same time may we take this opportunity to reconcile with our brothers and sisters with in our families and communities. God bless 🙏

🌺 **CELEBRATING MELANESIA AT OUR PASIFIKA COMMUNITY AWARDS** 🌺

Last Saturday, we were honoured to include also to the Pasifika performance showcase the powerful spirit of Melanesia at the United Pasifika Community of Victoria – Pasifika Community Awards.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Ca’au Brothers from Fiji and the amazing Sol Sisters from the Solomon Islands for blessing our event with their unforgettable performances. Their music, movement, and cultural pride brought a richness and depth that truly elevated the night.

Having Melanesia represented on our stage was something very special. The strength, rhythm, and storytelling woven into their performances reminded us of the beauty and diversity within our wider Pasifika family. They carried their heritage with pride, and our community felt every moment.

We are deeply grateful for their contribution and the way they helped make the night even more meaningful.
