Rossville & District Citizens Association

Rossville & District Citizens Association R&DCA supports a vibrant, inclusive community through advocacy, collaboration, and a variety of well-being programs.

Rossville and District Citizens Association Incorporated (R&DCAI) is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to building a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community. Through advocacy, collaboration, and shared decision-making, we foster connection, growth, and empowerment while caring for our rainforest environment. Our initiatives—Rossville Markets, R&DCAI LandCare, the Historical Museum, and

community groups like the children’s playgroup, dance troupe, and craft events—strengthen engagement, resilience, and well-being. By supporting these programs, we create opportunities for residents to contribute, connect, and thrive, ensuring a strong and sustainable future for Rossville and its surrounding districts.

🎶 Rossville Choir 🎶

Thank you to everyone who came along to our first choir rehearsal last Sunday!

With two more rehearsals to go, we’re singing our hearts out, having fun, and building our confidence for the big performance. 🎶🎶

Come along on Saturday 20th during the Discovery Festival to hear the Rossville Choir perform on the Main Stage between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.

The choir will be singing three songs, all a ca****la. Our Rossville song is “Don’t Worry About a Thing” by Bob Marley.

We will then be joining the other three choirs to sing together in a special celebration of community and friendship — a wonderful experience of voices, connection and harmony.

We hope to see some of our community there supporting this amazing initiative, singing along and cheering us on. For many of us, this will be the first time singing in front of an audience, so your support will mean the world.

Go Rossville! 🎵

Hello Rossvillians,

Once again, we are pleased to share some news about an new successful grant received for our Rossville Hall renovation project.

The Hall renovation has come together in stages, and little by little we are creating a space for all of our community to enjoy. Each step brings us closer to a more functional, welcoming, and useful community space.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Cooktown RSL Memorial CLUB for investing in our community.

We are very grateful for the support we have received along the way, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the project continues.

Thank you for being part of the journey with us. 💙
