This year we want to do something different so we have a 'no burgers menu' this year.
We are bringing up to 'The Picnic' our Loaded Spud Van plus the Paella set up next door. Some things the same some things different...

Oi there all Beemers
PICNIC'26 is upon us soon, so to all those coming along here's the heads up.

LINEUP CHANGE : Aaron Po***ck has had to pull out but has been ably replaced by Mike Elrington (playing his first Picnic).
CAMP NOTES:
GATE - The ticket gate opens at 10am Friday. If you are self-contained, you are welcome to camp in the BIG RIG camp before the middle gate on Thursday night. No facilities in this paddock.
WATER - The spring water from our taps is not treated so BYO drinking water if concerned.
RUBBISH - please please take it with you.
DOGS - Yes we have a dog camp (with quite spectacular mountain views). No doggies excepting our own (Monday & BB) in the main camp. There are walking tracks for walkies but keep 'em on a lead.
FOOD - See attached image from Scotty and Sarah - pretty comprehensive! As well as 'Cafe Anywhere' coffee van with lots of sweet snacks.
PROGRAM - Music starts Friday at sunset. It's the Brisbane Olympics (rowing with crocs?) at 3.00pm Saturday. We Would love to see some national uniforms if you're keen to team. Then the big night on Saturday, sunset 'til midnight. Wake up and wander back for a relaxed Sunday morning music session, 9.00am till 12.00 - after which it's all over rover.
PARENTS - Please look after your lids and know where they are always. If you see bad behaviour please sort it or come to one of us and report it. Keep an eye on what's happening in the playground nearby the stage, especially at night. It will be well lit and there will be comfy seating.
Sorry but no scooters or ebikes!
FIRES ? - mmm but MUST BE CONTAINED, ie no open fires.
SUNDAY NIGHT CAMPING - If you want to camp an extra night and have your own supplies, you can. We will be packing down, so maybe you could give us a hand for an hour if able.
HAZARDS? Yes there are plenty in the bush! We do our very best to reduce potential hazards but you know the drill - don't camp under dodgy limbs, look out for paper wasp nests, hairy caterpillars, gullies at night etc.
And don't be a di****ad. If you feel you're flirting with di****ad like behaviour (ie pi**ed!) go and chill in your camp.
CAMP MUSIC - acoustic instruments good, loud stereo/megaboom bad (see di****ad behaviour above)

It's gonna be another great PICNIC, we are all stoked and hard at it getting ready.

STRETCH & SKETCH with women
What a wonderful weekend it was.
The rain finally eased & yoga mats were rolled out under the eucalypts.
The sun beamed during ‘Colour out on a limb’ workshops awakening a myriad of hues, forms & rhythms that were captured in viewfinders, sketched in charcoal & pastels.
And in between the yoga stretches & pastel sketches, the chatter remained a vibrant backdrop.
Thank you to the women from Sydney, the women from the Tablelands, the women from Machans Beach, the women from Kuranda, the women from Cairns, Cooktown, Bloomfield River & the places in between. Thank you for coming along, being playful & making our 4th ‘Stretch & Sketch’ an absolute joy.

NOW, about this current world disorder
It doesn't matter how closely one follows geopolitics there are way too many variables, motivations and (that awful term) 'narratives' to make meaningful predictions but if I was a punter I’d say it most likely that supply of diesel will continue, but at a premium price and in response we are keeping our ticket prices as low as we possibly can.

A reminder that all children and youth MUST arrive and camp with their family group.

Last year's BIG RIG discounted tickets are on offer again at $175. For those who don't mind camping a few hundred metres away in Outbackistan, you can set up your FULLY self-contained rig in the quiet, spacious bush location.

Lastly, don’t forget OUTBACKISTAN on the October long weekend. Numbers wise, it will be very limited (smaller than the Picnic with a similar format) and happening at the harmonious Tar Tree Stage. Once BMUP ’ 15 is sold, we’ll announce the lineup and tickets.
