Only one day to go to The Great Train Show 2025!
The model trains are back at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse this weekend on Saturday and Sunday 25-26th October 2025.
Whether you are an experienced modeller, or would just love to come along for a look to see what it is all about, there is lots to see and do.
Explore more than 80 exhibits, with over 30 amazing model railway layouts to drift into and let your imagination run wild. Browse trader stands to get the latest items on the market, let the kids operate their own trains (supporting the Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia), and pick up bargains in the second-hand store choosing from over 4000 pre-loved lots on sale! Talk with experts in the clinic area, watching close-up demonstrations of how it’s done, and ask questions to help you with issues you might have with your own modelling.
With 3500 square metres of exhibition space catering for exhibits and layouts in N, TT, HO, OO, O and G scale, there is plenty to see and do. It's a fun family day out for all ages.
A well-stocked cafe inside the venue will be serving food on both days, and there's a coffee cart in the main exhibition hall too.

It's been awhile.

This years exhibition will see us again host the Southern Highlands layout of the Late Rodney James.

This was originally started by Rodney in Grafton and it was a continuation of his wonderful previous works, Crafton and Wingham.

Where the earlier layouts were based upon the North Coast region of NSW, this layout is based upon the Southern Highlands of NSW.

Unfortunately Rodney passed away before the layout was completed however a great group of friends bandied together and completed the layout, just as he'd intended.

It's only been shown in Sydney twice, once at our Thornleigh show several years ago and again this weekend.

Planning your visit to Rosehill this weekend. Here is the show floorplan with all our exhibitors and traders alike.

If you are travelling by train and bus from Parramatta Station, use the Sydney Bus service Route 920 to James Ruse Drive.

If you are using the Vintage bus from Granville Station, with our friends from the Sydney Bus Museum, their service is Route 405 to The Grand Pavilion.

Or try the newest service in town the L4. The Parramatta Light Rail, operates between Westmead and Carlingford alight at Rosehill Gardens and it's a short walk across Grand Avenue.

If you are coming to our show via public transport this weekend, there are two options to the door.
From Parramatta railway station the M92 bus to James Ruse Drive. For our patrons looking for a bit of nostalgia and a little longer bus journey, we have vintage buses running from Granville railway station. Stand A, off Memorial Ave Granville.
Thanks to our great friends from https://www.sydneybusmuseum.com/ we have a bus running every 15 minutes to Rosehill Gardens.
Buses commence running at 8.43am each day.
