Mr Archie’s tiny life is continuing because someone decided it mattered.

Maybe you were that someone once.
Maybe you decided to stop and pouch check, maybe you decided to make the call for the help they all deserve.

And maybe you've already made the world more beautiful than you realize.
Your actions matter, every life matters🙏
Thank you to everyone that cares and helps make a diffference💜🦘🙏

It was an accident when you hit this poor girl and broke both her legs.
It was not an accident that you chose to drive off and not get her the help that she truly deserves.
A phone call is all it takes.
I don't know how long she was lying there by the roadside, but if it wasn't for another kind soul that rang us she would still be there left to suffer.
I have given her love and respect in her last moments and laid her body back to nature through her home tracks that she once roamed so freely.
Anywhere in the state you can call Wildlife Victoria
It’s a 24hr phone line 84007300 and they will find a rescuer. Don't let animals like this suffer.
Rest easy beautiful little girl,
I’m still feeling totally heartbroken 💔

Mr Archie wonders what all the fuss is about over yonder!!!🤔🦘🙈
But, here it is…….TaDaaa

Behind the scenes and over many, many months, we have led the tiring task of trying to organise relocation of our “Roo Room” to our new Kangaroo Retreat Valley.
Many people answered our calls, and we really do appreciate you all.
But to be honest at removal costs been out of reach our hands were tied and we had to be realistic🤔

But, today we are so grateful and make a huge shout out to Pam and Don in Rosedale.
They made a call and arranged for Polly to make the trip to collect and relocate our intensive care unit at half of the costs quoted. None of this would have been possible without them and we are extremely grateful🙏

This unit will be dedicated to providing continued care and intensive support to our little orphan joeys!

Inside the building,
upgraded facilities will include a kitchen, outside covered verandah area overlooking the safe enclosure and most importantly, access to pre-release enclosure.

We still have an excessive workload to be complete, but, we will keep plugging away at it and will continue to keep you updated on our progress. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the next stage of our beautiful new joey space.

The heartbreak is real...
the result of clearing and development is pushing our wildlife into suburbia... we are actively watching the cruelty of entire mobs losing there homes where they once roamed freely.

This little at foot Joey sustained serious injuries from a car strike whilst moving on her way through the tracks that her mob have always followed.
We had everything crossed for this darling little girl as carefully removed her from under the vehicle, we then rushed her straight off for scans/xrays.
Unfortunately her results came through worst than we first thought.
This Little joey that once roamed free with her mumma roo was humanely euthanized and laid to rest back to nature. Fly high baby girl 🙏😢💜

I know our page had been a little quiet lately, but I can tell you these last few weeks had been insane!!!
We have been on the road all hours.
Earlier in the week we were called to this little girl that was seen lying beside the fence line.
The only information we had was that she was unable to move.
So we packed up the car and headed straight out, upon arrival we could see her little leg was broken and there were signs of being caught in the fence.
Her mumma roo stayed close by watching us tend to her little baby, she continued to cluck at her to let her know she was nearby.
But unfortunately the little bub had already started to take her last breaths by the time we could arrive. Her little body was so broken and she could no longer fight for the life that she deserved😢
This is just one of many so far this week.
Please, all we ask is that you make the call. Anywhere in the state you can call Wildlife Victoria
24hr phone line 84007300 and they will find a rescuer. No animal should be left alone to suffer.

I didn't save a life today, but, I did save a life from suffering😢This precious little girl, such a tiny little at foot joey, so much heart, so much life still to live.

She would have been following her mumma across the dirt track and through to the next paddock, but, sadly she didn't make it.
The barbwire fence caught savagely around her tiny little leg as she tried to jump through following her mumma roo.

Her little foot completely ringbarked and she also severed some of the tendon.
Her injuries were horrific
I cannot even imagine the pain she was going through.
Rest peacefully beautiful little girl😢🦘💜

It is looking like this will be a busy trauma season 😞 the joeys just keep coming. Two little amazing souls have now gone onto lovely carers to continue to make a difference in their little lives.

We’ve pushed the limits with long exhausting day trips through to Traralgon and back through to Yarram again today.
But, for every scared little life given a second chance 💕
This is why we do what we do💕🦘🫶
Saving wildlife is not a job. It is a calling. A quiet promise that they will never face this world alone🙏
