The Kids' Cancer Project

The Kids' Cancer Project We’re an independent national charity funding vital childhood cancer research across Australia.

Our mission is simple: Provide scientists with the funding they need to make new discoveries, drive innovative treatments and build support programs that improve survival and quality of life for children, adolescents and young adults facing cancer. Since 1993, our community of supporters has helped us commit over $76 million to pioneering science that leads to better treatments and brighter future

s for kids with cancer. Our mission is simple: provide scientists with the funding they need to make new discoveries, drive innovative treatments and build support programs that improve survival and quality of life for children, adolescents and young adults facing cancer. We’re driven by a vision where 100% of young people survive cancer and thrive with no long-term treatment impacts. Every donation, event and community effort helps get us closer to that goal. Join us in supporting life-changing research and giving hope to families affected by childhood cancer

Cancer changes an entire family’s story.

When Charli was going through treatment, her siblings were also living through the fear, uncertainty and disruption that comes with childhood cancer.

Charli’s dad Pat McCabe shares why receiving bears mattered not just for Charli, but for her wider family too.

A bear is more than a gift. It can bring comfort, connection and a small moment of joy when a family needs it most.

Your donation helps support more than one child. It helps bring comfort to an entire family impacted by childhood cancer.

Charli was just two years old when she was diagnosed with leukaemia. After four intense blocks of chemotherapy, her cancer still wasn’t beaten.

Then research changed everything.

Through the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program, Charli’s DNA was studied and a special immunotherapy was found. Within months, she was cancer free.

The Kids’ Cancer Project helped fund the early pilot studies that made ZERO possible.

Charli’s story is proof that research saves lives.

Because of research, Charli is here today.

🏴‍☠️ Meet the pirate crew who made history this week!

To celebrate Pirate Day, the incredible students at Riverbank Public School didn’t just dress the part… they took on a record-breaking challenge in the name of kids’ cancer research 💛

Over 1,900 students hit the ground and held the plank, officially breaking the world record for the most students planking at once!

Every pirate who took part is helping fund vital childhood brain cancer research, proving that when a crew comes together, huge impact can happen⚓

A huge thank you to the students, staff and everyone who made this incredible day possible.

Here’s to turning teamwork into real impact, and getting us one step closer to a world where no child dies from cancer.
