Always amazing when the local institutions get behind community driven Mural Programs!

Like Community Bank Lancefield and Romsey supporting our partnership with Lancefield Romsey Lions Club to deliver this Creative Sparks StreetLight Mural Program!

Kyle worked with the local Primary School as well as young people from youth groups, community groups and local high schools to collaborate, design, create and help paint this mural over all four sides of the toilet block at the new Romsey Skate Park!

We were proud to award our largest grant this year to Lancefield Romsey Lions Club, with $45,950 in funding towards Stage 2 of the Romsey Skatepark Upgrade, supporting a youth and community driven mural on the existing toilet block.

Have you seen the mural yet? It was wonderful to see so many people involved in bringing the project to life, both young and old. The artwork has transformed the space into something vibrant and welcoming, while also fostering connection, pride and a strong sense of ownership within the community.

We are pleased to support projects that bring people together and create positive, lasting impact in shared community spaces.

When the “pretty picture” on the wall has a story that comes directly from the community it has a whole other depth of meaning to the presence of public mural artwork.

At Creative Sparks Projects we take community engagement and consultation to the next level!
We focus tailored workshops for young people to share their story, be part of designing and creating the mural and we include them on the brushes to help paint the mural!

A Creative Sparks Project program isn’t lip-service. It isn’t token “community consultation”. It’s true deep inclusion of young people from the community being part of every aspect of contributing a mural as a gift to their community.

We see art differently here at Creative Sparks Projects - as a tool to showcase youth voices and amplify their message and platform their contributions.

A fantastic day to have young, really young & older generations coming down to contribute to the new mural for the Romsey Skate Park.

These young people helped to create the concept theme, decide on design elements and spent the day helping to paint the walls!

Creative Sparks Streetlight Program is designed to connect young people to their community and showcase all the amazing ideas, values and effort to their community. It is a platform for young people to share their voice and vision for their community.

The Romsey Skate Park Program is just one of the awesome programs we have happening over the next few months! And to continue to deliver programs we are looking for support from passionate and enthusiastic partners to help us run these programs for the communities that need them the most!

TOMORROW!! Super excited to have the Junior School Council kids from Romsey Primary School coming over to help paint the mural on at the Skate Park!

The students helped brainstorm some great ideas for another mural that the whole community will help to paint!

So what better way then having them over to paint another mural too!

Behind every School Mural Program is a powerful first step - students sharing their ideas, sharing their stories & coming together through a shared experience.

Our unique, authentic and engaging Brainstorm workshops give students a space to:

⚡️see their ideas come to life on a real community contribution.

When young people know their ideas matter, they become active creators - not just participants. And they develop their sense of belonging in their community. 🎨⚡️

Sometimes it’s not about painting a masterpiece, or a giant mural — it’s about being seen, heard, and encouraged.
This is what my work at is all about.

It’s finding these quiet moments with a young person, a blank canvas (or skateboard), and the freedom to express what words can’t. It’s choosing stories, patterns & colour over chaos and being stuck in our heads. Belonging to something over boredom & disconnection.

I believe creativity heals & connects us — and when we show up for our young people with passion and paint in hand, the impact is real.
