Members will be out at the field this Easter Sunday from 10 am for those wanting a fly.
I hope everyone had a good Easter Saturday, I know we were busy organising cars, tractors and motorbikes for the Easter parade here in Roma.

Our new gate sign at the field is finally up. Thanks to Dan for helping today, thanks to Kyle for helping build the frame and thanks to Brent Zoellner for the loan of his little excavator to dig the holes. A special thanks to the MAAQ Model Aeronautical Association of Queensland to supplying funds for the purchase of the sign. tor It will help newcomers find our field and the old sign will be tidied up with direction arrows closer to the road.

The new sign has MAAQ and MAA logos on it, as well as links to our page and a QR code as well.

A good morning at the field despite the wind and the heat. Bill, Mason, Kyle, Kris, Ken and Evan turned up. Mason had some good flights with his little powered glider and is now doing quite well. The wind was a bit of a challenge for the model but he handled it well. Ken and Kyle had a few flights and Evan ran a few batteries through on his helicopters.

We are set up this morning at the Lions Club "Meet and Greet" at the Roma Cultural centre. Our table is representing 8 groups, I have the model simulator set up and some display models. There are about 25 local groups represented, targeting new people to town as well as existing residents.

We are having a flying session this Sunday morning at our flying field up behind Lake Neverfill. Starting from around 8am to beat the heat. Remember sunscreen and water.

What happens when two model planes share the one piece of airspace at the same time?. This is the result. One use to be an 80" Piper Cub and the other one a Piper PA28.
When Kyle and Ken do something, they do it in style.
It was a great morning flying with ,Evan, Dan, Mason, Will, Kyle, David and Ken at the field. We also had a family visit and Hunter had a short fly on the trainer. We hope to see Jason and family out again sometime.
