Celebrating our future leaders!

Yesterday, CUC Maranoa was delighted to host The University of Queensland(UQ) Young Achievers Program Welcome and Celebration.

The Young Achievers Program (YAP) supports senior school students through mentorship, financial assistance, personal development and leadership opportunities, helping them build confidence and prepare for their future beyond school.

It was wonderful to bring students, families, CUC Staff and Board and representatives from UQ together to celebrate their achievements and the exciting opportunities ahead.

At CUC Maranoa, we're passionate about helping regional students explore their potential and access opportunities, no matter where they live.

Congratulations to all the Young Achievers! We look forward to following your journeys.

What makes CUC Maranoa special? It’s the people behind the support. 🧡

Today, Glenys, one of our Learning Skills Advisors, shared CUC Maranoa’s approach to supporting students to use AI confidently, responsibly and with academic integrity.

Her presentation was shared with colleagues from Country Universities Centre across Australia, highlighting how our team is helping students understand how AI can be incorporated into learning as a tool to practise, build confidence and strengthen their study skills.

A big thank you to Glenys for sharing her knowledge, experience and the work happening here in the Maranoa.

Glenys and Kat, our Learning Skills Advisors are here to help students navigate all stages of their educational journey — whether that’s academic writing, referencing, study planning, understanding assessment tasks, using AI appropriately, or simply working out where to start.
