Great visit today by the Rollingstone Leos Club to deliver Easter cheer to the Children’s, Oncology and Aged Care Wards at the Townsville University Hospital. Easter eggs, chocolate and the beautiful hand knitted Easter eggs (from our lovely Rolly community lady knitters) were all greatly appreciated! Thank you Leos for your community service - making a wonderful difference while having great fun! Well done Leos!

The annual Rollingstone and District Australia Day celebrations are coming up, hosted by the Neighbourhood Centre together with the Rollingstone And District Lions Club. We are excited that our entertainment will be provided by the fabulous Gottani Sisters, and free breakfast will be provided by the Lions Club.

Don't forget to get your nominations in for the Australia Day awards. This is your chance to publicly recognise a community member or group who has made a significant impact to our community over the past year. Nominations can be made for the following categories:

- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Senior of the Year
- Junior Sports Award
- Senior Sports Award

A great day today for the Rollingstone Leos with their annual Christmas visit to the Children’s, Oncology and Aged Care Wards of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Thank you to Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation for coordinating the visit, our wonderful ladies who knitted and crocheted the beautiful soft cuddly Teddy’s, Octopus and Rugs which were very much appreciated by and welcomed by the recipients, and our Rollingstone Lions and Parents who supported. A great learning experience for many of our new Leos, followed by lunch and an Ice Cream stop on the way home! Special thanks to our Sponsors for your ongoing support of our young Rollingstone Leos - Leaders today and in the future!

Hello all residents who live here in Paradise - Rollingstone and the greater Balgal Beach! Tomorrow, Saturday 13 December, is our Lions annual Santa Lolly Run and Christmas Cakes Convoy through our local Community. Itinerary is as follows:-

- 8.45AM Depart for Tasman Caravan Park with a drive through there for Santa to hand out lollies to the kids, returning to Rollingstone via Rollingstone Street, Balgal Beach Road, The Esplanade and Marlin Street, Acheron Drive and Middle Earth, Mystic Av, Armidale Street, Ocean Parade to Borton Street, Howitson Drive, Augusta Dve, Ocean Parade, the Estate opposite the Doctors Surgery and finish back at the Lions Den - by Midday.

So, when you hear the Police, Firies & SES Sirens please come out to your front gate with your kids so they can receive a gift from Santa, and if you haven’t yet purchased your yummy Lions Christmas Cake, our attending Lions will be happy to sell you one - Cash or EFTPOS available.

Great effort by the Rollingstone And District Lions and Leo Clubs supporting our local community over the last couple of days, and in the week ahead! Great support yesterday by Leo Club Vice President Saxon and Kobi supporting our Lions Colour Run for the Mutarnee State School and the visiting Tobanna School, and followed today with a Lions Catering Project for the Army in Townsville!

And tomorrow we will be "Browning a Banger" at Bunnings North Shore raising funds to support our local Community Carols next Wednesday, another Colour Run and Lunch at our Rollingstone State School next Tuesday, our Community Lions Santa Lolly Run supported by our local Police and Rollingstone Rural Firies next Saturday, with our Leos and Junior Leos Christmas visit to the Childrens Ward at the Townsville University Hospital on Monday to finish off a Fun Filled Year supporting our wonderful local Community. Lions and Leos, we improve people's lives through our local efforts!
