This week is National Volunteer Week, and we’re celebrating the incredible people who help make Rokeby Market such a special community event! 💛

Behind every market day is our small but mighty team of volunteers who work tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly. From managing bump in and bump out (including rescuing cars from the mud! 🚗🌧️) to making sure our vendors and visitors are safe, welcomed, and happy — we couldn’t do it without them.

Thank you to our talented, supportive, and hard-working volunteers for everything you do. Rokeby Market simply wouldn’t be the same without you! 👏

That’s a wrap on another incredible Rokeby Market season! 💛

A huge thank you to our amazing vendors, hardworking volunteers, and everyone who came along to support the market this season. Thanks to you all, it’s been one of our busiest and most successful seasons yet!

We’re now taking a well-earned Winter break, but we’ll be back in September and can’t wait to see everyone again.

✨ Stallholder Spotlight ✨
Meet Ellie from Handmade by Ellie🕯️💛

Creativity has always been part of Ellie’s life, with Handmade by Ellie first beginning around 18 years ago through handmade cards and stationery for special occasions — including creating the stationery for both her sister’s wedding and her own!

After moving to Australia in 2012, Ellie took a short pause before returning in 2015 with cards, sewn items and personalised 'Name in a Frame' creations.

Then in 2017, inspiration struck thanks to a shelf full of empty jam jars and the approaching Christmas season. Wondering how she could reuse them for thoughtful handmade gifts, Ellie began creating candles — and the Handmade by Ellie we know today was born! ✨

Starting with just 8 Christmas fragrances, Ellie has grown her range to over 40 beautiful scents across candles and reed diffusers.

Ellie joined the Rokeby Market family in 2019 and has been a regular favourite ever since. She loves the welcoming community atmosphere and the friendships formed with customers and fellow stallholders.

And there’s more excitement ahead — this year Handmade by Ellie is finally heading online! 👏
