πŸ’œ YOUR BUSINESS CAN CHANGE LIVES LOCALLY πŸ’œ

Invisible Illnesses Inc. is currently looking for community-minded businesses wanting to become official Charity Partners and help create meaningful impact throughout Rockingham, Kwinana, Mandurah, and surrounding areas.

This isn’t about β€œjust donating.”

It’s about becoming part of something bigger.

Every single day, people within our community are quietly struggling with:
πŸ’œ Chronic illness
πŸ’œ Disability
πŸ’œ Mental health challenges
πŸ’œ Autism & ADHD
πŸ’œ Trauma & PTSD
πŸ’œ Financial hardship
πŸ’œ Social isolation

Many continue showing up to work, raising families, caring for others, and trying to survive while struggling behind the scenes.

Most people never see the battle.

But together, we can help change that.

We’re inviting local businesses to partner with us through:
βœ… Workplace fundraising
βœ… EOFY giving campaigns
βœ… Community sponsorships
βœ… Round-up donations
βœ… Staff engagement activities
βœ… Test Drive for a Cause
βœ… Product donation campaigns
βœ… Community pantry drives
βœ… Sponsoring local programs & services

Your business can help support:
πŸ’œ Peer support groups
πŸ’œ Crisis support initiatives
πŸ’œ Community pantry assistance
πŸ’œ Youth programs
πŸ’œ Volunteer pathways
πŸ’œ Mental health & wellbeing initiatives
πŸ’œ Advocacy & awareness campaigns

As an ACNC Registered and DGR Endorsed Charity, eligible donations over $2 may be tax deductible.

Most importantly:
your support stays LOCAL and directly helps people and families within our own community.

Businesses That Care create stronger communities 🌱

If your business would like to become a Charity Partner or learn more about how we can work together, we’d genuinely love to hear from you.

18/05/2026

It’s been nearly 4 weeks since I had one of the worst migraines I’ve ever experienced. What we later found out was that it was actually a small brain bleed.

CT scans have now shown a number of small lesions, which doctors believe could be linked to the recurring sepsis caused by Necrotising Fasciitis β€” something I’ve been fighting for the last 6 years. Apparently I’m incredibly lucky it didn’t cause a stroke.

I’m still dealing with the after effects every single day β€” constant headaches, blurry vision, tinnitus, overwhelming exhaustion, confusion, and memory issues. At the moment, the only real reprieve I get is sleep, and some days I’m sleeping anywhere from 15–24 hours just trying to recover.

Some days I honestly have no idea what day it is, let alone where I’ve put things or what I was doing. My memory feels completely shot at times. Sometimes I’ll write something down and what ends up on paper is definitely not what I thought I was writing in my head.

Recovery is going to be slow. I’ve been told it could take anywhere from 6 months to a year β€” maybe longer. I also can’t drive at the moment because of the blurry vision.

What recovery looks like right now is very different to what most people probably imagine. It’s not big milestones or dramatic improvements. It’s things like remembering to eat, managing a shower without needing to sleep afterwards, trying to focus long enough to reply to messages, or making it through a day with slightly less pain and confusion than the one before. Some days are better. Some days feel like I’ve gone backwards.

To be honest, it’s mentally and emotionally frustrating. Once again, my body has put my life on hold when there is still so much I want and need to do.

Attending the awards night honestly took absolutely everything out of me. As much as I want to jump straight back into work, my body keeps reminding me that recovery isn’t something I can rush.

The hard part is that I want to be back. Invisible Illnesses Inc. is such a huge part of my heart and purpose. But I also know I’m incredibly lucky to have an amazing team holding everything together while I heal.

To my Core 4 β€” thank you. Truly.
Thank you for stepping up, carrying the load, checking in, supporting me, and keeping things moving behind the scenes. I honestly don’t think I would have gotten through these last few weeks without you all.

This experience has been a reminder that even the people who spend their lives supporting others sometimes need to stop and be supported too.

Please keep listening to your body, even when life tells you to push through. πŸ’œ

Most people wake up with a battery that recharges overnight. πŸ”‹

For many people living with invisible illnesses, chronic pain, fatigue, autism, ADHD, PTSD, Fibromyalgia and other conditions… it doesn’t work that way.

Imagine waking up already on 40%.

Every task uses power:
πŸ”‹ Getting out of bed
πŸ”‹ Showering
πŸ”‹ Answering messages
πŸ”‹ Going to work
πŸ”‹ Masking symptoms
πŸ”‹ Coping with noise
πŸ”‹ Appointments
πŸ”‹ Cooking dinner
πŸ”‹ Existing while exhausted

And unlike a normal battery… ours often won’t fully recharge no matter how much we rest.

Some days we’re running on:
πŸͺ« Low battery mode
πŸͺ« Survival mode
πŸͺ« β€œPlease don’t ask me for one more thing” mode

But we still show up.
We still try.
We still fight through things people can’t always see.

So if someone cancels plans, goes quiet, needs rest, or says β€œI can’t today” β€” please understand:
It’s not laziness.
It’s energy management.

Invisible illnesses are real, even when you can’t see the battery draining.
